Chad has said she head-butted him, but some men do that (say she hit him) to cover their asses because of fear... Th 911 call - A "misunderstanding..." The neighbor is either trying to cover Chad's ass or he is terrified of him. Or the press... http://tmz.vo.llnwd.net/o28/newsdesk/tmz_audio/081312_ochocinco_911.mp3 It was apparently over a receipt of box of condoms...which she did say once if he cheated, she'd want him to cover up. It's just fascinating to me how having money/fame/beauty doesn't shelter them from the frailties of life. I know "why would it?' I know, but I just tend to think they make better choices in life because they can afford to?? I know, I'm not being logical...

I meant to post this yesterday so it's a little late... Maurice Jones-Drew ends holdout, reports to Jaguars. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/09/03/jones-drew-holdout-was-a-lose-lose-for-player-owner/ I wish he'd gotten a well-deserved new contract but I'm glad to have him back in the fold for Jacksonville.
I had my first fantasy football draft of the season on Friday. I either made a brilliant pick or a really, really dumb one with my QB. When I was ready to pick a QB the best two available were Tony Romo and Peyton Manning. I hemmed and hawed and even though Tony was slightly above Peyton in the rankings, I went with Peyton. EEK!! Then I got scared and decided I needed to draft my backup pretty quickly, so the 2nd round after picking up Peyton, I drafted Alex Smith. Fingers crossed! I really wanted Matt Ryan (ahead of Peyton), but he was picked up by someone who was 4 places above me that round. :smt012
My league had our draft on Saturday. Since I'm the reigning back to back champion I had to do some serious year-round scouting (I usually look for the best sleeper-picks). I ended up getting the 5th overall pick in the draft out of 12 teams and Drew Brees was my first pick. If you take a QB first then it's much eaiser to fill out the rest of your team.
I've never gotten into fantasy football because one, it's so time consuming having to watch (over) all "your" players, and two, my allegiance is to one team only .... doesn't it make you then root for other team's players performance because your players are on it?, eg: Dallas, which I'd slit my wrists before rooting for them. OMG, Look at you!!! Mr. Big shot! :smt033 Bookie, you better listen to the champ!
I have a hard time thinking about missing out on a good RB in the first round. This year I picked 2 RBs, then 2 WRs, then my starting QB. I have a pretty good starting team.
For years I thought Fantasy Football was stupid. A bunch of people pretending to be coaches, etc. But I decided to try it last year and LOVED IT. I'm a huge Bears fan and there aren't a lot of non-Bears teams I'll root for, though I do like the Jaguars. I don't even know why. LOL. And I count the 49ers, Patriots, Cowboys, and of course the Packers as teams I loathe. However, it does make the football season much more fun and a lot more nerve wracking for sure, when you can watch games and look at the ticker at the bottom to see how your guys are faring. I spent a lot of time on my phone last season checking my scores. But I know a lot more players now and can talk more intelligently about game. When people drop names like Arian Foster and Maurice Jones-Drew, I actually know who they are now. LOL. For all of the disappointing weeks where you play the team that has Aaron Rodgers for their QB and he scores like 40 points, there are other weeks where your guys blow their projected numbers out of the water and you leave your competition in your wake. It's heartbreaking and fun at the same time and honestly, I didn't spend a whole lot of time looking over my teams from week to week. I just went by projected points and looked at any news that showed up next to my guy's name. I highly recommend it for football fans. It really does make the season more fun. :smt023
Dolphins release QB David Garrard http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/09/04/david-garrard-says-hes-getting-released/ http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...s-will-release-him?module=HP11_headline_stack I wish he'd gotten an opportunity to play for them at least. Maybe he can sign-on with a winning team this time around.
Former Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens owner Art Modell passes away at age 87 http://news.yahoo.com/former-ravens-owner-art-modell-dies-87-112238662--nfl.html http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...rowns-and-ravens-owner-art-modell-dies-at-87/
I heard. R.I. P. Unfortunate one bad decision tarnished him so negatively when he influenced a lot of significant changes for the industry to this day. He belongs in the HOF despite the move, c'mon now.
What's even more unfortunate is that many people in the city of Cleveland still hate his guts to this day. It's sad that after 17 years, individuals can hold a grudge for so long and Art Modell is on the very same shit-list as LeBron James and John Elway. I know for a fact that Art Modell had a lot to do with the integration of the NFL back in the 1960’s not to mention the structure of the present-day television contracts we now have in place. So yes he does belong in the hall of fame. R.I.P.

Wells was a beast back at Ohio State. His failure to stay consistently healthy might cause him to lose his job to backup RB Ryan Williams.
