Having grown up in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, I saw lots of b.s.
Dudes walking the street with guns, gunshots outside when the night time comes, I was mugged once for 40 bucks when my grandfather sent me to play lottery numbers at a corner store.
Experiencing life in the hood, hardens you to situations. You learn how to adapt and be street smart about things over time.![]()
yeah you learn to take longer routes and mix-up your schedule
i grew up in the projects and my mom definitely told me how to be tactical at a young age...especially since I rolled by myself all the time.
weirdest situation I was in was waiting at a bustop, and turning around to get some situational awareness going. this thug ass looking, grown ass man was in back of me and started beefing asking me what I was looking at. I stood my ground and eventually got on the bus as it arrived, but I knew shit definitely coulda went down. It was like 6 in the morning and I was on my way to school.
