Cloak and Dagger are in their early to mid twenties. I don't think any of the people mentioned would be playing them unless they age the characters for any movie that would be done.
Have to go look up who ya'll posted since neither sets of pics from you guys is showing up on my laptop. :smt091
lmao damn both my peeps are under 25 the guy is an up and comer who played 'the black guy' on Chronicle, and one of the dope boys from the Wire. The other is Miley Cyrus. She's probably more well known, so if you're looking for someone fresher, keep looking. For now, we'll have to be content with the buzz surrounding Black Panther. I think that'll take off before Luke Cage or Cloak & Dagger. Or you know, they could just make a movie FEATURING Sam Jackson as Nick Fury.
Yeah. These two have the right looks. Dude from Chronicle if he was a bit more buff I'd say he could be a decent Cyborg from Teen Titans/Justice League.
co-sign! I like how they spinned off and had aang's son and showing katara as a mature lady. im pissed though.. only 7 episodes? i can remember having avatar party nights with my girls back in the day. i need more avatar, the real avatar not the blue people crap.
Elizabeth Taylor & Vivien Leigh, both played African Queen Cleopatra. Yet, people still swallow that pill.
Thats not too bad. He really has the facial, features for the role. As for Agron, isn't she a tad too short? I always pictured Dagger as a lean, sleander 5'8-5'11 ish woman.
The average American comic book fanboy/girl geeks with too much time on their hands won't swallow that kind of pill however. And Hollywood wants their money. Miscast someone like Will Smith and Charlize Theron as Cloak & Dagger and watch the backlash from hard core comicbook fans. There are still those pissed with the Ultimate version Sam Jackson Nick Fury being used over the classic version in the Marvel movies that have been made. And he's a secondary character for the most part.
hollywood only did that to get some color up in a mothafucka i mean, seriously? all the avengers are white? where's the pc brigade at? they coulda added black panther to the mix, and gave him a beefy role instead of a sideline crumb like Nick Fury
I think that's the reason there is all the buzz now about doing a Black Panther movie now. They put one out before the next Avengers movie comes out and try to get him in as the new member. Popular Black Superhero Even Among White Fans = MONEY. They could have put War Machine in but I guess having two Iron Men was redundant. There is also some early wish rumors about putting the Falcon in the next Captain America movie that's going to come out before the next Avengers flick, so another possible black character that could possibly end up in the mix if that happens.
So true. Even if the original, was a black character, he is still pointless. Same for Black Panther. I just read his abilities......nothing special. I would want a black superhero to be like Superman/Spiderman or Goku. 'REAL' powers. Not some add-on, side-kick pressense. Look at Hancock. Alright, his character was a bum, but at least he could fly and have Superman abilites. I don't really want to see Maverl black heros movie. They always seem to be rushed as if to say "Oooohhh, here you go, theres a black character for you people". The same goes for female characters. No Wonder Woman or Supergirl film. There is a video on YouTube, of a script writer talking about Marvel. He mentioned when he choose Blade (which brought Marvel out of bankrupcy), but he said so bluntly, when talking about DC "There was Flash and Wonder Woman....NOT DOING WONDER WOMAN". Maybe, someone like Spike Lee needs to jump off the whole Black History films and make a black super hero film instead.
They have no problem, with a mixed-race, beige Halle Berry, playing a Dark skinned Storm in the X-Men films. I can understand turning Spiderman black or Superman Chinese, but for side characters, they just need to f**k-off! ;D
Hmm. I take it you don't or never have read comics on a regular basis, huh? This is the typical view that most non comic readers have when it comics to superheroes. If characters don't have "super powers" a la Superman/Spider-Man/X-Men then they are pointless. They had no problem with Halle Berry as Storm because all most saw (particularly the white male fans) was a hot ethnic looking woman playing what they see as a hot ethnic looking woman. Cast a black woman not on that level of attractiveness as a Halle Berry or better as Storm ..........
Black Panther is a more earthy/hyper-intelligent Marvel version of Batman. So far the buzz says his movie could potentially be the best Marvel movie to date if it is done correctly. I'm actually looking forward to this, in hoping all of the articles on this is true. Far as female characters are concerned, there is also rumors of a Ms. Marvel film. She is a heavy hitter, cosmic level fighter and would probably be on par with Wonder Woman/Superman coming from the Marvel set of characters. Like most things, these things take time and I think they'll get around to doing a lot of these movies at some point. But I think the Avengers was the big test to see if more could come after this. Personally I think the success of the Avengers, with the success of the recent set of Batman movies is bringing us into a golden age of comic book movies. So less popular or lower tiered heroes can start to have a time to shine, including more ethnic & female superheroes.
@ Thump. Give you props brother on correctly calling the Aqualad situation on Young Justice. I'll post up this week's episode later if/when it becomes available on youtube.
That was a great episode btw! I was like "Oh man! I guess that seals the deal where his loyalties are!"
