For a show that was targeted for kids the original Avatar series didn't pander to kids and appealed to all. Same with this one. If you enjoy a good story then it's worth watching. But everyone has their take of what a good story is, so....:smt102

I think I've just outgrown a lot of cartoon shows and movies. Very rarely would I consider watching a cartoon show to keep my eyes peeled (The Boondocks and older cartoons for nostalgic purposes). Very rarely would I find a cartoon show that would tickle my interest currently.

I may give this show a look see. Of course, LibraPrincess is badgering my ass to watch Community. So, I have two shows so far to consider.

Yeah, the animation of the bending fights is exceptional. It has that quick clean anime feel.

They aired the season finale this morning, it was great, it answered so many questions, (although a bit too quickly for me) and it had an surprisingly strong emotional ending.

    -spoiler-

Also, this show should be the model on how to have a strong female lead. Korra is tough and capable, but she doesn't have a chip on her shoulder and she doesn't emasculate the men around her. I also like that Korra can be a 'girl' around the men in her life, without it diminishing her as a heroin. She seeks guidance and support from the father figure (Tenzin), and reassurance and comfort from the love interest (Mako). So many other stories, seem to think in order to have strong females you need to have weak males.

Oh shit son! This looks raw as fuck!

Looks like they got the same animation studio as the Boondocks.

Nope. Different studio. Ars Nova is handling the production and animation. Though, it is strikingly similar out of inspiration.

Well it was fun while it lasted. Disney has had the Avengers: Earth Mightiest show clips removed from youtube. Those who didn't get a chance to watch the clips all the way to episode 26, the final episode will have to wait until they air or catch them on one of the animation/anime site that uploads episodes after they have aired on US TV.

    weren't the episodes mirrored?

people usually do that to avoid copyright stuff, but personally I don't see how

mirrored or not, it's still someone's show they created

None of the one they had up were mirrored. If they would have posted them after episodes had aired they might not have gotten taken down. Funny thing is some one basically did the exact thing with the first season last year and posted all the episode before they aired in the US and none of those got taken down back at the time. I guess the videos were getting a lot of hits due to this is it for the series. :smt102

    haha yeah

word tho..they're going to put them back up on an official channel, and throw in ads...like they do with certain music

plus they'd rather people paid for cable and watched their stuff on their network

if you like the show, you gotta support the people behind it basically

i know free shit is hard to pass up, but you gotta think about it

if there's no incentive to produce good shit, why produce it?

if people didn't spend tons of money on the Avengers, do you think you'd get to see a sequel? (which I know FOR A FACT there will be, since the first one killed just about every box office record)

Shit...if Marvel/Disney wanted to make money that bad they would have just kept producing the Avengers series they had rather than make one closer to the movie as they claim to be doing. People probably were hitting shit up for free because they are royally pissed they aren't continuing the series. Why support them if they are not giving the people what they want? And fans have made it known directly to Marvel/Disney by hitting up producers involved with the shows on their Facebook and twitter accounts never mind tons of shit like this on youtube:

That's actually pretty cool!!! I'm not sure what the anime is about, but by looking at the video, it looks like it's got a good story going on. :smt038

Just my two cents but If you are a media entertainment company and you have 40, 50, 60 and in some cases 70 years worth of source material to work with why would you let a movie/a few movies influence the source material that is responsible for the movie to begin with? Tweaking and updating some of the out dated elements in some instances should be the only thing that's needed because clearly something is being or rather has been done right for characters to still be around for that long. Especially comic book characters.

The only comic movie character interpretation that was hands down better than the actual comic book version source material IMO was Blade and that's only because Blade was a second string character in the comics and definitely need a fresh and major interpretation on the big screen compared to the comic book take.
