Ugh I'm tired of the cold weather lol. I'm sick with the flu because of it now grrr...! On a more serious random note, 2011 is almost over, and I hope 2012 will bring some new exciting adventures for everyone on here, as well for myself! What's your new year resolution? Mine is to make new friends, be more open to anything, and travel to the United States--which WILL happen! I guarentee it!
SKJ, you live too far North of the equator but I sympathize with you as a cold weather hater... If money were no object, I would follow summer around the world just to stay warm....lol I hope you get over your flu soon... I'm not making any resolutions but I do wish to do more travel in 2012...
Nah, British Columbia isn't THAT far up from the equator! xD Thanks! I will get better soon--all I need to do is limit my times on my feet, rest a lot, eat soft food, and drink LOTS of water! ...And keeping warm too lol. Awwe come on there HAS to be a resolution for you somewhere! You sure you didn't think hard enough?
British Columbia is farther North than Miami or the British Virgin Islands  either of which I gladly take right now in lieu of cold weather.... Getting some rest will undoubtedly do some good for beating the flu! And as for resolutions, all of the things I want are beyond my immediate power to get or change.... So I'll take a pass on promising something but I will give it some more thought...:smt017
I actually agree with you on that....seriously, if you look closely at the "Twilight" trailers, she always seemed rather....cock-eyed. Of course, that's just from my perspective.
I'm confused... Sorry I don't understand that; I'm rather braindead from the flu I have. Well, I'm signing off for the night. Goodnight! :smt008:smt055
Work crush complimented me on my haircut this morning. I thought that was very nice of him to do. It made my day even if I'm currently on Operation Get Over Work Crush.
Had a horse riding lesson this morning to prepare for a horse show that is coming up within the new year. Other than that....I've gotten over my flu, and I'm back to where I normally am as--energized, and acting cute!
dealing with out of control bridezilla's, grumpy children as they're exhausted at the end of school term with another week to go and a schedule so full of drinks and parties and get togethers that i'm exhausted looking at it. on a high note, the real housewives of beverly hills is back on the idiot box tonight and i have some friends over for champagne artyman:
At least you have some friends over for champagne That sounds like a nice mini-break from your busy schedule! I just woke up from a nap. Exhausted from final exams, and stressed out because I still have another two papers to do so I could turn them in for tomorrow. When I woke up, there was a text from my mom, and a video. The video was of my little 6 year old cousin saying hi, spelling out her name in sign language and waving bye. No one in my family really signs, especially not anyone my age or older... I taught one of my girlies how to do her name two summers ago, and she still remembers now! The one that my mom sent me a video of is now the second kid in my family to learn how to spell their name in sign language... That one text made my whole week!
Awwwww....thanks sweetie! My male boss also noticed and commented on my hair, but as he said, his wife has programmed him into noticing that type of stuff. LOL. I doubt anything will happen with work crush which really sucks, but whatever, he's missing out. ;-) I just thought after everything that's happened recently (my admission to liking him) that him complimenting me was a nice gesture on his part. Another reason why I know he's a good guy deep down, which, unfortunately, makes it suck THAT MUCH MORE that I can't date him. :smt091 Tell the Bridezilla to go stuff it!! Enjoy your champagne, gorgeous!! :smt058
I was watching CNN with Brooke Baldwin just now and she interviewed an Iraqi war Vet. Her name is Mickiela Montoya and she became homeless after being discharged. Quite a beautiful woman and she has a two year old daughter. Plus, Montoya's single. She has pictures of her daughter shown during the interview, but nowhere to be found on the web. However, her daughter is part black. Well, the good news is that she found a job and is getting back on track. But feel free to check out the links for more of the story.

We remember Don LaFontaine, the man with the movie voice, but he died back in '08. However, in Britain, there is someone who is the equivalent of it, albeit better. His name is Richardson Green, or better known as Redd Pepper. Born in Barbados, this man has a VERY distinct and powerful voice. Give him a listen here...
