Thank you, Nocturnal, for the rep and comment. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. (Nice to have the backing of a guy, too!) :)

I will continue to say what I want. Those who matter don't mind don't mind and those who mind don't matter.

Let me play the devil's advocate here, when a woman calls a man a dick is it as offensive as a man calling a woman a cunt? Just asking.

    dictionary:

cunt [vulg.] [considered by many to be the most offensive word in the English language.] Schlampe [vulg.]

    dick [vulg.]
    Depp {m} [ugs.]
    Zumpferl {n} [österr.] [ugs.]

dick [esp. Am.] [vulg.] [stupid, impudent and abrasive person]
Arschloch {n} [vulg.] [dummdreiste, nervende Person]

But, whether it is now more or less offensive. Anyway it says more about the persons that takes those words in their mouth than about the person that is called like that. Or in other words you are what you say

There isn't one. Even if Chris Rock says there is.

When you don't get respected remember you don't give it.

No matter where you look for the definition it is deemed extremely inappropriate. I don't know what circle you run in so I assume people who have low opinion of themselves if they are ok with being called that word.

Your lack of consideration for what others tell you they are feeling is ........well typical for you. Yet you whine the loudest when you feel you are wronged. Hmmm.........

    cunt
Derogatory term for a woman. Considered by many to be the most offensive word in the English language.

    cunt [k?nt]
    n Taboo
    1. the female genitals
    2. Offensive slang a woman considered sexually
    3. Offensive slang a mean or obnoxious person
[of Germanic origin; related to Old Norse kunta, Middle Low German kunte]
Usage: Although there has been some relaxation of the taboo against using words such as fuck in conversation and print, the use of cunt is still not considered acceptable by most people outside very limited social contexts. Though originally a racily descriptive word in Middle English, it has been taboo for many centuries and continues to be so.

cunt (kunt) n. Vulgar Slang (often called "the worst swear word in the world")

    The female genital organs.
(syn. vulva, vagina, yoni, pussy, twat, snatch, slit, gash)
Sexual intercourse with a woman. [note: I have NEVER heard it used THAT way ... but Merriam-Webster said so ...]
A term of endearment for a male friend, usually coupled with the word old: "old cunt".
(syn. mate, old boy, ya' bastard)
Offensive a. Used as a disparaging term for a woman. b. Used as a disparaging term for a person one dislikes or finds extremely disagreeable.
(syn. bitch, asshole, fucker, twat, bastard, jackass, son of a bitch)

Just wanted to add one thing. Calling someone out on saying the C word is perfectly fine, considering that it takes a terrible shot at your womanhood and well, women in general. So, I am confused as to why you just mentioned the N word. He took a shot at your womanhood not your race. I could at least attempt to understand if he referred to you or whomever he was speaking to as a "white C#*%". This reply was a little uncalled for. Just FYI.

But it's perfectly acceptable to use the C word? You think my comment is uncalled for, Luv. I think the comment that started this whole discussion was uncalled for. The day it's ok for me to call you the N word, it will be ok for you to call me the C word. But not until then.

We can't make racial slurs on here but it's ok to make gender slurs. Alrighty then.

I know where luvsattractivewomen is coming from and I agree. Combating sexism with racism is equally bad practice to combating racism with sexism. Actually, responding to blanket racism or sexism in kind is generally a bad idea. It's better to take the higher ground and respond directly to the person who issued the initial insult, but it's best to take the highest just report it and avoid the situation altogether. Doesn't make much sense to feed the flames.

I agree with you ches, neither racial nor gender slurs should be welcome here.

    Thank you, Jaisee.

What I was trying to do in this situation was say that as much as TDK felt that his use of the C word was appropriate in the situation for which he used it, as a woman, I felt that no situation, however bad, warranted the use of the word. Just as he, as a black man, could not find an appropriate aituation ever, for which the N word is appropriate. It was about the weight of the offense, not race or gender.

If you want to use racial slurs then that is your business. If you want to get angry with one man and use a racial slur to exact revenge for what the person has done to you that is also your business. The thing is, as I have expressed before, sometimes it is OK to fight fire with fire, but you must keep in mind that the Fire Department uses water. I have met many racists in my time who utilize a racial slur when a ______ (Insert minority) wrongs them. It isn't the race who did it to you, it is the person. If you are upset that he used a hurtful word, I can understand. But, flipping a racial slur is just plain bad form and ...well... racist.

I would like to thank Jaisee for attempting to explain what I was trying to explain, therefore explaining my explanation to she who needed the explanation while taking the time to understand my explanation.

Show me where I used a racial slur, Luv. SHOW ME!! I asked when it's acceptable, since gender slurs apparently are. That was a sarcastic question. Don't put words in my mouth. Ever.

I said mentioning a racial slur. I am just going to unfriend you and ignore you. I really don't condone that kind of behavior and as I said, I would have at least understood if he mentioned a racial slur with the C word. Good Day ma'am.
