2. What were you hoping to get from this forum/site?
I just stumbled across this site. I like reading what everyone has to say. The threads are eye-opening, informative, entertaining, interesting, etc., and I can relate to a lot of them. The only serious relationship I've had, and person I've ever been in love with, was a black man. I have always been attracted to black men. I hope that the I will be lucky enough to fall in love again someday and that the person I love will love me back. But for now, I'm doing me and trying my best to focus on things that make me happy. I don't have any expectations for this forum, but hopefully I'll learn some new things and connect with people in a way I wouldn't have had the opportunity to otherwise. We are from all over the world, but we have this interest in common! Pretty cool.

I recently joined this site after searching for forums related to the topic of IR relationships. Like many others, I only read about the topic and never really thought about engaging in the actual conversations posted. I noticed this site had a good handful of insightful individuals and the atmosphere was friendly so I signed up. I date only ww now, although I have dated black, bi-racial and foreign women before, I had to be honest with myself one day and realised no other women on Earth will catch my eye like ww do... The last thing I wanted to do was waste another woman's time or break her heart knowing that I will always love ww. I haven't made a lot of posts yet, I'm currently deployed to Afghanistan and had a recent break-up with my gf of a few months (ww). I'm using this time away to better myself and I figured friendly conversation and advice on IR could help me be grow in understanding. Thank you all for your posts and welcoming presence!
