I've had several ONS and in DKs opinion, I would belong in that category, but it is his opinion. Not mine. One can say all you want, but I need not to accept it. But to the topic most of those men, I wouldn't want to be in a relationship with either, out of different reasons (one of them convinced me that it can work). I assume, that this is the stimulus. And of course, it has nothing to do with the character of a person, neither man nor woman. In contrary "waiting"is many times used to convince somebody that he/she is a decent person, what is in reality not the case.

I think that in the background of all this is the fear/illusion that a person that had a ONS with me will cheat on me earlier than someone else that is waiting, however long it is appropriate.

Exactly. Why list yourself as single if you aren't, since plenty of people are not remotely put off by that.

Me, I just don't need the drama. I also think cheating is dishonorable and disrespectful not only to the person you're cheating on, but the person you're cheating with. Plus, if someone will cheat WITH you, they'll cheat ON you.

Actually, a study was just released that said men get sexism from their mothers.

If they're coddled, and never forced to grow up, they have the belief that the coddling is expected behavior, and they spend their lives looking for a woman who will bend to their will because mom always did. That, along with the fact that as long as mom does everything, they will never do anything for themselves, which adds to the erroneous idea that Mom as woman will always do those things, hence women should always do those things. And because of Mom worshiping her little boy, Man-Boy thinks he should always be treated in that way, and thus has difficulties in relationships later in life.

Interesting, yes?

Define grown up. I think studies like this are so ridiculous since they use drastic extremes. And truth is there a lot of men and women who enjoy gender roles. There are a lot of women who want to take care of their families the way their mom did growning. My last long term gf was from Utah and enjoyed cooking and cleaning for me. I enjoyed taking care of her. It worked for us at that time in my life.
What defines being grown up? Living on your own and paying bills? Cleaning up after yourself? Making a living?

Coddle, no - I've run into far too many men my own age who grew up when Mom doing everything was a given. They expect a woman to work, but not make more than they do to protect their egos, but they also do nothing for themselves. When I got married my ex MIL handed me a list of family birthdays so I could be responsible for gifts and cards. I handed it to my ex and told him it was his family, if he wanted to send cards, that was on him to do.

I think that's one of the reasons I tend to date men a little (and sometimes more than a little) younger. They are familiar with the concept of equal partners, and don't expect a woman to wipe their noses for them.
