I don't think there are any rare "Best of" albums. Those flood store shelves more than actual albums.

It's tradition that threads of that nature happen in Dec, & sum up numerous categories, right? (make sure you have a good memory & time scan threads so it's good & all encompassing)

I hate it when people continue to berate me for not getting a flu shot.

Sorry, they aren't the be all end all of never getting sick again.

People have such a holier than thou attitude towards the flu shot. I can't stand it. :smt042

The GUIDELINES were up before you became a member. If you have a problem with them then you need to move on.

The fact that you're still posting speaks to the rest of the BS.

Me too; I hear it all the time. I have had one flu shot in my life & it made me so sick I'll never get one again.

we love the flu jabs in my house, theyve been a wonderful help in keeping my daughter alive along with the pnumo and synagis shots

but for healthy folks then im with ya, not much your body couldnt do for you anyway

so ill go with the everyone makes thier own choice on weather its benificial for them or not lol

Exactly. I can completely agree with getting them for people who absolutely need them due to pre-existing conditions, but for healthy people, I don't believe they're necessary.

And like Tamstrong said, even though they inject you with a dead virus, I have known several people who have gotten super sick for days after getting a flu shot. (The naysayers will say that they would have gotten sick anyway).

BAH!! If I want to get a f-ing flu shot, I know where I can get one, but leave me alone if I tell you that I don't want to get one. LOL!!

my dad despite the fact he has brittle asthma refuses point blank to ever have a flu jab again, he was hospitalized after having it one year, was very ill

i panic about it every year, decide were not having it and then the hospital guilt trip me into it by asking me to remember how madam was on the ventilators. these people play dirty! lol

  19. Our work encourages (or bribes!) people to get it by giving it free and buying us lunch if we have it. So I get it every year! But I wouldn't if it weren't for the fact I work in a high risk area (hospital). In ordinary circumstances, I believe practicing good hygiene is the best protection. Hand washing is the key!

    tell me about it

it was either get a flu shot, or get terminated during the outbreak of that swine flu. to top things off, they were trying to force everyone to get swine-flu vaccines on top of the regular vaccine. some people absolutely refused both shots on grounds of religion/culture, and got the axe. That was my first time getting the vaccination, ever.
