Yesterday it was raining as I left work. As I prepared myself for the run from under cover to my car a man not so far away from me yelled out,,,, "how far away from your car are you?" I turned to see that it was the male worker from our neighbouring building that I had run into many a time to and from work. He was holding an umbrella and said he saw me leave the office without an umbrella and knowing it was raining outside he came to assist me to my car. He is a much older man so I knew he was being sweet and genuine... I was absolutely floored by his old school manners, it is so rare these days to find a man that would go out of his way to help a lady (although not so in distress) to her car with out getting wet. He held the umbrella above my head all the way to my car and then held it over me as I got into my car as I continuously thanked him. He shut my door behind me and then went back to his office.

I must say I drove away with a huge smile on my face and thought to myself,,,, I WILL pay that forward.

What a sweet gentleman.

 

Oh how I love chivalry! I was only saying that today.

 

That's what I'm talking about...that's how I do it all day every day. Sometimes people will try to tip me like I'm a bell hop, that's how uncommon chivarly is now.

And yes, FRESH, that is sad that chivalry seemed to have disappeared.
