I just joined a couple of days ago (hey all) so neither of my details will have changed... I stumbled upon this place through Google. I am single, but actually not looking currently ... what drew me to the site, I've pretty much only dated white women over the course of my life. So I thought, "this is relevant to my interests!"

What am I hoping to get from the forum? Amusement? Occassionally something educational/enlightening? A sense of (internet) community?

A place to lurk and post at, instead of doing more productive things?

Hey everybody! i came to this site because i have some good memories about my black friendsfrom USA...i miss thema lot...and today i feel kind of lonely...well my story is funny and sad at the same time...4 years ago i was studying as an exchange student in University of Central Arkansas and there were so many students from different countries but we found common language with the big group of African students(mostly from Niger)they were so nice and friendly and we became good friends with them. Me and another girl from Ukraine who was living with me Ira we were allways going to those special clubs for just black guys and we were just two white people there but it was so fun noone ever was rude to us or not behave in a good polite way...it was a fun time...i was also the only one white model on university AFRICAN fashion show. One day i became a lover for one friend(u know it happened sometimes even if u dont plan things like that) at first we were hiding from everyone we didnt want anyone to know that and it was making those relations even more fun and interesting...but after some time everyone noticed and we start living together and my friend also started dating his friend also a blask man...on one everning someone of them told us: IF U GO BLACK U NEVER GO BACK and we were laughing then it was sounding as a funny joke...but now it is not funny for me any more...after i finished school i left...went back home to Ukraine...but from that time I am not happy any more...i dont like Ukrainian man! Noone. A lot of them want to be with me some of them r looking good some of them r rich some r clever and smart but i dont like them and i dont find them sexually atractive...sure i dont stay at home and i was trying to have some relations but it never last long and allways finish with dissapointment...and i understood that i need a black man ... but here we have just a lot of black students who r too young for me...and no serious adult black people. So i stopted by here to at least find a friend for conversation...but who knows maby something even more interesting will come out one day...

 

Where are you from in the Ukraine, Nataliya? I lived in Kiev for a few months this year. I saw more black guys there than I expected. A lot of military go there to study, I made friends with some guys from the American marines, they were really cool.

 

I live in Ternopil it is the western part of Ukraine and it is not a big city so here the situation is different

 

Yeah I understand. I'm from a small town in Russia, originally. We had a man from Kazakhstan there once and he was considered 'exotic'
Have you ever considered moving out of the Ukraine? Or at least to a bigger town, if you're that keen on meeting a black man? Kiev has pretty good job opportunities, too.

 

I was allready living in USA and in Poland in big cities for few years but i just dont like big cities with crouds and traffic...i need to be close to nature...i know it sounds funny but it is true when i come to Kiev just for 2-3 days to visit friends i am so tired at the end that i feel like my head is gonnna explode...and about the job - have a good job here i love my job that is also a reason why i am still here...but maby i will moove out somewhere one day...
