I took my nephew to see predators and the last airbender. I heard good things about inception so I will try that one.

I heard Predators was good, I heard The Last Airbender was not.

I saw Inception and loved it. Though I saw that Espy also saw Inception and didn't like it. So, maybe it's one of those movies that you'll either love or hate. LOL.

I think it probably depends on why you go to the movies Bookie. I don't go to think or work stuff out in the film, I solely want to be entertained, so the blow everything up films work for me. Inception had too many fine details and nuances for my taste I think, but it just really didn't capture my interest very well either, I actually caught myself with my eyes closed daydreaming at one point for a couple minutes and that's never happened during a movie before.

But I saw Predators and loved it.

And to add insult to injury, they're making all of those stupid movies 3D!! UGH!!! Like making them 3D will magically make them better movies.

Yeah, I'm big into all kinds of movies. If I'm going to see those blow 'em up movies, if they entertain me, that's all that matters. The movies could have plot holes that you could drive semis through, but if it was a fun movie to watch, I'll still rate it as enjoyable.

With Inception, I knew it would be a thinking type of movie, and that's what I loved about it. And I knew it would have fantastic visuals and it didn't disappoint.

Very true. I just posted in the movies thread. While 3D is being done to death by the lack of creativity and innovation in Hollywood, the process is very good.

And also, today's movie going audiences are ADD morons who have the attention span of an eight-month old. Thus, CGI, Remakes and 3d-Overkill. Whatever happened to old school animation?

Probably too expensive and it takes too much time.

Same thing can be said about the new 3D animation.

The last movie I saw in the theatre was Iron Man 2. It's been a weak year for movies period. Not interested in anything. This time last year we had Terminator: Salvation, Star Trek, and District 9, which offset Wolverine which sucked. We also had the Hangover for comedy. Oh and Taking of Pelham 123 (Tony Scott remake).

Inception's got the hype on it, but it's not run-to-the-theatre-and-spend-$10-worthy, at least for me. I dunno. I haven't drunk the Chris Nolan Kool-Aid. I thought Dark Knight was just OK. Put it this way Heath Ledger keeling over was Nolan's best career move.

    Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern:

Hollywood, for the most part, sucks today.

I loved Ironman 2. I never did see Terminator: Salvation. I heard differing things about it. I should rent it.

District 9 was great, as was The Hangover and Star Trek.

I heard "Get Him to the Greek" is pretty funny, though I haven't seen it yet.

I love going to the movie theater. I'd rather experience most movies on the big screen for the first time.

Te moviegoing experience is phenomenal. The problem is most movies today aren't worthy of that experience.

Any math whizzes in here? Haha, I'm doing math homework and this crap got me stuck. Just basic algebra.

    x-2(square root)x = 8

Man, they should add a square root sign to the keyboard.
