It would be bad form of me to exhibit the same schadenfreude here as when certain people were cheering and gloating over Wesley Snipes and Taye Diggs' career woes.

Funny thing is those brothas are both back on the upswing.

I wonder is if Obama, or his parents, get criticized for the race mixing thing. Or does he get a pass. Funny thing is, black women(or many other people) probably won't speak on his mom. Would they pull that "taking all the black men" shit? For certain people, depending on how respectable they are, they will give praise to the person, and just see their black side, but completely blind to their other shit. Kind of offensive, IMO. They wanna pull that Barbershop 2 shit, where they argue about which people they take credit for, and claim to be "ours". Then Ced's character checks them and said something like "as soon as mixed blacks fuck up, oh it's the other half that went loony toon". Reminds me of the fucking racial draft on Chappelle's Show.

A real Black woman from the South Side of Chicago too, not a light-skinded beauty queen.

Only white boys like Robin Thicke can get away with liking light-skinned BW.

BM liking light-skined BW is treason only punishable by death! If a BM married Paula Patton, Da Sistahood would have his head.

Not dissapointing to me what Jill Scott said, just seems misguided, because
you can tell by how careful her words were she wasnt trying to be ignorant
and what not. I think she is getting wrapped up in other RW's(racist black women) hate. She said it herself that black women were raped and beatened... And they were by white men during and after slavery. So if she wants to
go there then wouldnt the kind of relationships she would "Wince"
about is black women with white men. You would think due to that kind of history it would hurt african americans more if it was a white man and a black woman, because white women went against the white man and used to sleep
with the slaves... White women does not have a foul history of being abusive and ignorant towards black men OR WOMEN! The fact of the matter it is white men. It was the the white man who enslaved our people, it was the white man who whipped our men and raped our women.

Now I dont think like this because It is none of my BUSINESS WHO PEOPLE WANT DATE (Somethin people need to learn to do.) But if THEY really want
to go there, then quite honEstly it is white men with black women that should
hurt, because it did hurt when they(RACIST) raped our women.
But yet we have ALL women including black women giving such a praisal to the white man. Yeah it is true that white women are put up on pedistals especially in America and Entertainment Industry, and unfortunately you do have brothas that act like that is the big get, But white men are also put up on pedistals as the sexiest, most handsome, more nicer, more relationship worthy... In a world where women
struggle to keep a faithful man, white men are put up as the ideal man. In today's world black woman's beauty and strength IS recognized, with of course the exception of the mainstream movie world but thats another story.
They have beauty and strength acceptance across the world, it is black men
that still is 2nd place to white men in those categories and the proof is in
the puddin so lets not go there. Black Men in music, t.v., movies, magazines, famous couples, ect. have shown its appreciation to black women over the last decade and a couple. Where is ours in return? Black men still appreciates and loves Halle Berry, Tina Turner, Stacey Dash and others who are with white men, But as soon as a brotha dates outside of his race that love and appreciation dissapears without even knowing the reason why he is with her. We have to date a specific color of a black woman and basically be robots like some black men in the industry are and shut the fuck up when a sista dates outside her race to be loved and appreciated by our women, THAT AINT RIGHT!

Real Black Women needs to start coming forward and put these RW's on blast
because obviously our brothas are too chicken to do so and let them know
    what it really is.

SHOUT OUT TO ALL MY REAL SISTAS!

I understand alot of wealthy black men date outside their race, but that is no excuse to find what you are looking for. As long as you look you will always find it, it is the purpose of looking. Negative thinking never attracts the positive.

There are more things to worry about in this world besides who is dating who. He is a black man that was assumed to be found attractive by black women so he was plastered on the cover. In reality it doesn't matter who was put on the cover, odds are any person who picks up the magazine will never ever ever meet that person in real life. And i'm sure Reggie Bush and the Editors of the magazine are losing sleep over the uproar of the fan base. I can see it now

-Reggie tossing and turning in bed- "Oh man...why did Essence put me on that cover?....so many women are going to get pissed off...woe is me..."

    Welcome to the board.

It's sad, but some people act as if they will. They take what a celebrity does, very personally.

essence used an old picture of him that they had in their files...the magazine probably didn't have the money to go and get someone else for the cover just to be PC with their readers

We had no choice, white women were forbidden. Now that I have a choice, I AM EMPOWERED. Black women had no choice, they were FORCED to be with white men during slavery. Now that you have a choice, you CHOOSE to date white men? Who is selling out? Sorry sistahs dating a former rapist makes you the sellout.
