Damn. Andre Braugher was an absolutely wonderful and gifted actor. He was so versatile and believable no matter the character he played. His presence commanded both your attention and respect. Definitely one of my favorite actors for a long time and he'll be missed by many. R.I.P.
I really came to appreciate his acting ability in Stephen King's "The Mist". Such a SPECTABULOUS movie and his part was instrumental to the overall ensemble cast

Rest in Power Mr. Carl Weathers aka Apollo Creed aka Action Jackson. A former Superbowl Champion as a reserve linebacker with John Madden's Oakland Raiders of the 1970's Carl Weathers has left us at the age of 76. His cinematic passing as Apollo Creed in "Rocky IV" was a seminal moment in 1980's movie history for many of us. I loved his role in "Predator" too starring opposite Arnold Swartzenegger. He will be sorely missed
Terrible news, it's incredible how many of my favorite movies and shows he was a part of, he will be missed.
Carl Wethers has died. Peacefully. He was 76. ...I remember walking past him outside a Hotel nightclub in Melbourne. I was leaving and he was walking towards it. He smiled and nodded hello and l said, "hi". it was a Week night and there was nobody else around. l was freaking out inside, thinking oh my God this is Appollo Creed and of course, l'm leaving. R.I.P. Such a looker and great actor. Story link...good read, it quotes him on his acting perspective..... https://people.com/carl-weathers-dead-76-8558189 Always repping as a well-dressed man in most roles... And IRL... Carl was a titan in the movie industry, with acting credits dating back to the early 1970s when he was guest starring on shows like 'Good Times,' 'Kung Fu,' 'S.W.A.T.,' 'The Six Million Dollar Man,' 'Cannon' 'McCloud' and more. Fantastic Rocky and Appollo collaboration scene....!
Cool story, Bliss. Nothing short of an 80's ICON in Cinema. Rest In Power to this Legend! He was also a great man, Father, Loved One and Mentor!
When did you meet him? I remember Weathers making a movie Hurricane Smith in the early 90's in Australia.
I remember the film Hurricane Smith of him playing a oil worker who went to Australia to find his sister. It's one of those rare Australian movies where the main character a Black man going to Australia with some lR too.
