As a big fan of the anime, this doesn't translate well in live action IMO.

Has anyone ever played the Grand Theft Auto games?

I have never played any version of Grand Theft Auto. These days, I like to read about game development and then look forward to the trailers.

How is the storyline & gameplay of GTA? It looks hard.

And can you really do this? I'm thinking about getting GTA5

Each game has its own storyline but exists in the same world. The story is a tongue-in-cheek take on gritty crime stories, it's violent and silly, but also surprisingly deep and fleshed out. You "win" the game by completing missions, like stealing cars and shooting gang members. it's not hard, but there is a lot to do (maybe too much) one fun thing is that you really don't have to play the main storyline (well you do have to play the prologue mission) after that you can waste time doing stuff like you see in those videos. GTA5 is a 10-year-old game so there are a ton of guides and tips for playing, there is also GTA online where you can do missions and goof off with people online. **Warning** most GTA online players are dickheads.

Thanks Thump, you have been a big help. I plan on buying it.
