It was the fact that Democrats didn't offer anything to their base, so 4 million Obama voters stayed home and another 5.5 million crossed over and voted for Trump, especially in the Rust Belt. They knew what a piece of shit that Trump was, and they either stayed home or voted for him because Hillary Clinton was out there talking about maintaining a status quo that nobody liked.

Believe it or not, there are some issues that are bigger than a POTUS fulfilling a Black agenda while in office.
It's shocking to me how many folks don't recognize the danger of having a POTUS like Trump who believes he's constitutionally above the law and insulated from any criminal prosecution, which means he can do anything he wants and Congress and the Supreme Court can't touch him.

A lot of truth here. A bunch of people (oddly very few if any black men) are capitalizing off of the oppression and destruction of black men including Kamala Harris. Yes we all know Trump is incompetent we can see that but the dems are callous and out of touch. Me saying it out loud is not going to cause people to say home. See their so called leaders go on vacation as they suffer as 1/3 can't meet rent. What are they suppose to take away from that? Literally no one gives two fucks. They all retreated to their nice homes and gated communities while people starve. All of them did this including democrats then have the nerve to court moderate Republicans over actual progressives. Your average person is suppose to see this lack of care from everyone and some how come to the conclusion that life would be better under Biden. Why should they believe that when they offer zero policies. The Republicans are so shrewd. They've masted the ability of doing fucked up shit and having the Dems get blamed for it.
Pelosi ans Schumer begged that Congress NOT shut down until a new relief package was approved.

Mitch McConnell said, "Fuck that, I don't like your bill," and shut the Senate down for recess. Now some liberals are blaming the Dems for not getting a relief bill passed before leaving D.C.

Fuck whoever our candidate is for president, if you don't control Congress, you can't do shit.

And the problem with Trump isn't that he's incompetent. The man is breaking the federal government and blowing up our democracy in the process.
Trump doesn't want voters voting by mail, (because it's harder to steal an election with a paper trail), so what does he do? He hires his OWN Postmaster General, a former high level campaign donor, with one directive; do everything in your power to slow down the flow of mail leading up to the election so that mail-in ballots don't arrive in time to be cast or counted.

Trump doesn't want any future reports of Russian interference in the 2020 election to get out to the public, so Trump has his Director of National Intelligence decide he's going to STOP briefing Congress about election security. No good reason, just because.

These are the type of stories that directly impact our democracy and how the country is run, and the MSM simply won't focus on them.

Trump believes everything in D.C. is for his own personal benefit to promote his own private agendas. This is the mindset of an autocrat. He's broken his own party who refuses to stand against him when he's doing fucked up shit, which has made them rubber stamps for everything he wants to do.

Progressives need to back off their hardon for bashing the Dems and see what's really going on.

One of the hosts followed up by asking Harris how she responds to people who question "the legitimacy of your blackness."
"I think they don't understand who black people are," Harris replied. "I'm not going to spend my time trying to educate people about who black people are. Because right now, frankly, I'm focused on, for example, an initiative that I have that is called the 'LIFT Act' that is about lifting folks out of poverty," she said, detailing her plan for a $6,000 tax credit for middle class Americans.
"I'm black, and I'm proud of being black," she said at a later point in the interview. "I was born black. I will die black, and I'm not going to make excuses for anybody because they don't understand."
Harris, a former California state attorney general, said she makes no apologies for pursuing violent criminals to keep communities safe, but added that she wished she could have done more to affect change "from the inside." She also highlighted her support for legalizing marijuana. She said she has smoked -- a joint, to be specific, adding with a laugh, "I did inhale."
"I think it gives a lot of people joy," she said, "And we need more joy."
The junior senator from California was also asked about criticism she has faced on social media for marrying a white man.
"Look, I love my husband, and he happened to be the one that I chose to marry, because I love him—and that was that moment in time, and that's it," Harris said. "And he loves me," she added laughing.

Indians don't celebrate Kwanzaa and if one did it wouldn't be across multiple generations. She's also Jamaican. Jamaicans do not celebrate Kwanzaa again even if one person did its not across multiple generations.

The issue with someone primarying her is that the DNC would put their full strength behind her, and we would have a rerun of the Hillary Vs Bernie fiasco of 2016.
Identity politics are far too important to the Dems for them not to anoint Kamala Harris as their heir apparent. She checks way too many boxes, and she is a center-left soldier who will toe the line as good as anybody they could hope for. Unless some earth-shattering political scandal happens before 2024, the Dems are going to ride or die with Kamala.

You're right, she isn't as strong as Hillary, and that is one of the reasons she will lose in a head-to-head presidential election. However, the Democratic establishment has to back her, they don't have a choice. The Democratic Party is beholden to identity politics. (race, gender, sexual orientation, etc.) They would collapse as a party if they didn't put their full support behind the highest-ranking brown-skinned woman in U.S. history.
