Agreed, I think that it's easily the best Disney Star Wars release.

Still doesn't change the fact that Kennedy did her best to fuck it up.

Multiple reshoots, completely undermined the director, and you can tell from the early promo materials that there was a ton of stuff that was left out of the movie.

Basically, she tried to make the movie entirely about Jyn (surprise, surprise) with less focus on the ensemble cast after seeing the first cut, but actually had to pare it back because it fucked up the story.

She doesn't care about Star Wars, just her agenda. I'm betting anything that they're rewriting Kenobi to insert a female co-lead, because he's basically the only old school character that they haven't stepped on yet.

It's the best bit of fan service that Star Wars has done in the Disney era, but Kennedy is more focused on pandering to the Twilight crowd.

There are still a few reported posts' fates we're mulling over and some off-topic posts are sort of in limbo until moved elsewhere, but the thread is basically ready to be back in circulation. Sorry it took so long. I've tried to keep an eye out in the Nerdz Lounge and elsewhere for Star Wars posts and moved them here as I came across them to try to keep it on track. If you notice any that I missed, please report them so I can move them.

Please remember to keep the Site Guidelines in mind when posting, and to stay on topic. Thank you.

Not excited about this at all.

First off, the premise of the movie is garbage. Bringing back Palpatine was the most ridiculous decision that they could have made. The entire purpose of this movie would be to clean up the massive plot holes from TRoS.

Also, the fact that this brother is an inexperienced director is bad news for him. He doesn't have any clout, so that means that as long as Kennedy is in charge, she's going to interfere with production, and he'll get fired if he tries to stand up for himself, just like Lord, Miller and Trevorrow did.

If they make this movie, it better go on Disney+ because it has box office bomb written all over it.

Well, he couldn't get at Rey in the movies, but he gotta much better chance with the cosplayers.

The Mandalorian Season 3 in the Works

Pre-production has begun on the third season of Disney+'s Star Wars: The Mandalorian, according to Variety.

The already completed second season is announced to debut this October - still five months away - however the Hollywood trade reports that season three is already in the works with an unnamed source stating that showrunner Jon Favreau had been writing for season three "for a while", and executive creative director Doug Chiang has been creating concepts for the season "for the past few weeks."

“We’ve just started pre-production and are looking into further adventures for the Mandalorian in Season 3,” an unnamed source said to be close to the production told Variety.

No specific premiere date, beyond October, has been announced for The Mandalorian season 2.

    Boba Fett Lives

Temuera Morrison, who played Jango Fett in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, will play Boba Fett in Season 2 of Disney+'s The Mandalorian.

According to THR, Morrison's Boba Fett will play a small role in Season 2. The outlet also confirms the longstanding fan theory that the character was indeed teased at the end of the Season 1 episode "The Gunslinger." That episode ended with a shadowy figure approaching the lifeless body of Ming-Na Wen's Fennec Shand, and notably, Shand will also be returning for Season 2.

Morrison played Boba Fett's "father" Jango Fett in the aforementioned Attack of the Clones. In actuality, though, Jango was used as the genetic template for the Republic's clone army, and Boba was merely a clone not imbued with the soldiers' accelerated aging, whom Jango raised as a son until he was killed by Mace Windu at the Battle of Geonosis.

As for Boba, he seemingly died in Return of the Jedi when he was knocked into the Sarlacc pit by a blinded Han Solo. However, in the non-canon Expanded Universe (aka Legends), he escaped his would-be grave and resumed his rivalry with Han.

At the time of this writing, it's unclear if the version of Boba Fett that appears in The Mandalorian will take any cues from his EU counterpart.

Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito. Season 1 is available now on Disney+, with Season 2 premiering in October.

Bo-Katan voice actor Katee Sackhoff will play the live-action version of the Star Wars character in Season 2 of The Mandalorian

Battlestar Galactica alum Katee Sackhoff has reportedly been cast as Bo-Katan in the second season of The Mandalorian.

According to /Film, Sackhoff, who voiced the Mandalorian warrior in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, multiple sources have confirmed Sackhoff will reprise her Bo-Katan role in the Disney+ series. The site also reports Sackhoff filmed her role back in February before the Hollywood shutdown due to coronavirus (COVID-19).

Bo-Katan Kryze debuted in the fourth season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and guest-starred in eight episodes. The Mandalorian warrior was a member of Death Watch and second-in-command to Pre Vizsla. The Death Watch leader was killed by Darth Maul when the two battled for the leadership of Mandalore. Bo-Katan didn't agree with an outsider being the new Mandalore ruler, and set off to bring his reign to an end. This led Bo-Katan to turn to Ahsoka Tano, who led Captain Rex and a battalion of clone troopers during the Siege of Mandalore. Bo-Katan later returned in Star Wars Rebels for two episodes.

Season 2 of The Mandalorian has also added stars such as Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano and Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett.

They are really ramping up for season 2. I hope they don't get too ambitious and forget what made people love the first season, interesting characters, and simple compact stories.
