Believe it or not, all conservative politics isn't about 'owning' the libs. And this has nothing at all to do with Obama. The coming conflict with Iran will ALL be Trump's fault and his alone.

War, just like economics is beyond politics. The only political aspect is the troops are leaving Iraq which is obviously a failure. You don't have any nieces and nephews in grade school you can debate with? They can't do any worse than blister.

You also forget he was responsible for the 1979 attack - again without provocation - on our Embassy in Tehran taking ALL diplomats hostage for 444 days. The only reason the hostage crisis ended was because Reagan was elected and Iran backed down knowing he was about having none of their shit.

Obama should have taken Salami's ass out back in 2011 when, as the leader of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, he planned a (foiled) terror attack on a DC restaurant targeting a Saudi ambassador to the U.S.

We've been fucking around in Iran for decades. Learn their history before acting like the USA is some innocent victim of a rogue nation. We've overthrown their government twice and gotten worse in return.

GOP Senator Mike Lee spoke out on how he and his fellow senators were instructed by officials to basically 'sit down and shut up' about questioning further military action on Iran. It's interesting to see how every once and a while a GOP senator has a moment of clarity and remembers that his/her job is to be a check and balance on the presidency and not just go blindly follow the presidency without asking questions.

Side note: I read the Youtube comments for the Fox News coverage of this story and it is truly sad (but not surprising) to read how many Trumpists/Russian trolls are triggered by a Republican Senator being more loyal to the U.S. constitution than he is for "Dear Leader Trump."

The 3 new VA gun laws prohibit the sale of handguns to one a month, requires background checks on all firearm sales and allow local municipalities to ban firearms in public places.

None of these laws is coming close to banning firearms.

Yet three new laws are going to be the end of the 2nd Amendment??lol

That's why normal people don't take the NRA and gun rights activists seriously. They're absolutists with no chance for compromise.
Virginia is a state where hundreds of thousands of guns a year are trafficked illegally up and down the East coast because of our lax gun laws.

This bill is going to put an end to that.

I can't believe people are going to march in protest over this.

The failed legislation that Northam proposed over the summer will be proposed again.

“There are no real surprises,” said Brian Moran, Virginia’s secretary of public safety and homeland security. “We’ll roll them out probably prior to session.”

This package would …

  • Ban assault weapons, silencers, high-capacity magazines and other “dangerous weapons.”
  • Require background checks on all firearm transactions.
  • Reinstate the law — repealed in 2012 — allowing no more than one handgun purchase a month.
  • Allow municipalities to enact “ordinances that are stricter than state law.” Among the examples they cite: rules banning guns in libraries or municipal buildings.
  • Require lost or stolen guns to be reported to authorities within one day.
  • Allow law enforcement to “temporarily separate a person from firearms if the person exhibits dangerous behavior that presents an immediate threat to self or others.”
  • Prohibit the subjects of protective orders from possessing guns.
  • Toughen punishment for allowing access of a loaded, “unsecured” firearm to someone 18 or younger.
