WTF??!! This a live-action remake of that animated "Pokemon: The First Movie" from 1998?:

Take a look at the first Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution compared to scenes from the original movie.

I noticed folks complaining about her demeanor in the "Captain Marvel" trailers & commercials. @darkcurry Do feel the same way?

I seen her in other things including that very tough movie she won the Oscar for "Room". It is definitely a choice for this role, although I don't see much of what people are talking about. I think that is just her tough look. lol. If you watch her interviews like that guy has noticed; she is kind of bouncy and smiles a lot. Those kind of people when they try to look tough it comes off differently. You have to watch her as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel and not Brie Larson.

Rumor has it that Disney may stop publishing Marvel Comics. Sales have been tanking big time.

Anyone else hearing that?

The speculation stems from a speech given at a conference by an industry insider. He says:
"National sales are very poor – there are comics in the national top 100 that aren’t even selling twenty thousand copies. A significant number of stores have closed — perhaps as many as 10% of outlets," Hibbs said. "Want a clear and current example of Marvel’s preposterous 'flood the zone' strategy? War of the Realms is supposed to be their major Q2 project in 2019, but in the first month alone they’re asking us to buy into TWO issues of the series being released with no sales data, as well as FOUR different tie-in-mini-series. All six of these comics (which are built around a six-issue storyline) will require final orders from us before we’ve sold a single comic to an actual reader. Is there anyone in this room thinks that this is good? That this is sustainable? That this will sell more comics to more readers? That this will sell any copies to people who aren’t already on board Marvel’s periodicals already?"
Honestly, I think the problem is that Marvel (publishing) is going down the same bad path as Star Wars. They spend so much time pandering to special interest groups that they have forgotten the fans that made them popular in the first place.

Today Netflix dropped a new Love Death and Robots promo, previewing the animated anthology series.

The full roster of stories will cover a variety of adult topics including racism, government, war, free will, and human nature. The collection spans the science fiction, fantasy, horror and comedy genres and each short has a unique animation style: from traditional 2D to photo-real 3D CGI.
