A few years ago, I saw him at a mall outside of L.A. during one of his hiatuses from acting. I'd heard there were drinking bouts, but I didn't expect his life to end so tragically.

no cause found...could be apparent suicide as his son died of suicide in 2014
RIP...He did some IR on "Young and the Restless" daytime Soap Opera...

I had an ex-GF back in the 90s who was crazy about Y&R and I used to watch with her. Kristoff was about my age, yikes. Sad any way you slice it
