Good points all, as with everything it will come down to whether the Repubs in congress believe their base will like or dislike them voting to impeach and remove Trump. If it ever comes to that, there will be so many side deals and hidden agendas...it will be a mess.

I don't think their base will ever get to that point. Trump is always going to have his extreme die-hard supporters who will back him no matter what he does.

Yep. President Pence is much more preferable to the GOP than Trump. If nothing else, Pence won't get on Twitter and shoot himself (and his party) in the foot every day. Imagine how much more damage the GOP could do with a President who actually took the job seriously, and didn't treat it like another season of his reality show?

When my 3-year-old nephew pointed to an overweight lady at the airport and said out loud "she's fat" We didn't respond with "well he has a point, she is fat".

No, we responded the way you are supposed to respond, we scolded him and let him know that you don't behave that way in public. My sister-in-law teaches my nephew how to behave because she loves him, and she wants him to become a decent member of society. It sure would be nice if the people who claimed to care about Trump would scold him when he acts like a cranky 3-year-old, instead of agreeing with his childish behavior.

    Is that so?

So when the fat lady points to your nephew and calls him an insloent child, rude, heartless, a brat and he says, "But mommy/daddy, who is she to talk about me, she's 'fat'...
l'm positive your sister/brother would agree AND have a few choice words for the 'fat lady".

Are you serious now? Did you read the salicious bullshit Comey wrote in his "book". The crap he spewed in his interview? That the Dossier was possibly true when he KNOWS it was made up bought and paid for by Hillary.
He also tattles that Trump has concern over how Melania views him as a husband. All sorts of gossip crap. From the "esteemed"(my ass) former FBI Director?

The FBI D that the Left despised over Hillarygate? The FBI the Black Community distrust as a whole? Now you LOVE HIM?

Suddenly, because the President calls him out and his certain slimey vindictive Hillary-loving cohort agents that Mueller hired...?
You say the President is wrong in doing so?
    In what universe?

I now believe if Trump was Black and was FINALLY CALLING out the corrupt agencies, you guys would be applauding the 'Revolution'.

If Trump was Black and was FINALLY CALLING out an end to illegal immigration and putting jobs and Americans first, you guys would be applauding the 'Revolution'.

If Trump was Black and was FINALLY CALLING out the corrupt leaders and countries who are bilking America and give nothing back, you guys would be applauding the 'Revolution'.

And If Trump was Black and was able to lower Black Unemployment, offered to send the Nat Guard into Chicago to break up the gangs who often hail illegally from central America, if he FINALLY CALLED out the Chinese and Mexican President on unfair Trade policies..if he said NO MORE FREE-FOR-ALL OPEN BORDERS, you guys would be applauding the 'Revolution'.

Bliss, how can you believe the Christopher Steele dossier was 'made up'?? Which parts specifically aren't true??
This was opposition research initiated by the Washington Free Beacon, a conservative website with anonymous conservative funders, against Trump.

Once it became obvious that Trump was going to win the GOP presidential nomination, The Washington Free Beacon stopped paying Fusion GPS for their research.
We know that conservative hedge fund manager and major GOP donor Paul Singer was a primary benefactor to The Washington Free Beacon.

The Clinton campaign came in after the fact and funded Steele's research. So far, nearly everything Steele published in 17 memos has been proven to be true. Even Comey cites Trump asking him to investigate the Steele memo and 'prove' the pee pee part of the dossier wasn't true.

LOL. If there's no evidence that such a bizarre event occurred, why did Trump want the head of the FBI to investigate it??

Now there are reports Mueller has evidence that Trump lawyer Michael Cohen made a trip to Prague in 2016 to meet with Russian operatives, once again confirming what was previously reported in the Steele dossier.

Stop pretending Trump is some kind of victim. He's gamed the system his entire life, starting all the way back when he dodged the Vietnam War.

Trump thought he could cheat his way to the WH and it looks like he got caught trying to break our democracy.

If it's true that Cohen recorded his conversations with Trump, it could be the beginning of the end fo the Trump administration.

Do I believe Trump has political enemies on principle?? Of course.
But as is the case with former presidents, you can't smear them if there's no dirt to be found.

There's simply no rational explanation why so many of Trump's top campaign and administration officials had secret meetings with Russians who had direct contacts with Moscow and the FSB.

That literally has never happened before in modern American politics.

    If Donald Trump was Black???lol
    [IMG]

BTW, Trump isn't Black, so why does he have such hate and animus for the FBI and DOJ??
You know what group of people really hate federal law enforcement?? Organized crime.

Trump and the GOP are actively trying to break the federal government. Who has Trump actually nominated for a position who was qualified to do their job??

Trump selected his WH doctor Ronny Jackson to run the VA, even though Dr. Jackson has NO PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE running such a massive agency.

Don tapped Betsy Devos to run the Dept. of Education, although she is personally opposed to the public education system and is a big supporter of charter schools, basically a money grab to privatize public education.

Trump picked Scott Pruitt to head the EPA, even though Pruitt believes we shouldn't even have an EPA and has never met an environmental regulation he didn't want eliminated.

There are multiple examples of Trump either appointing or selecting unqualified, philosophically opposed candidates to run federal agencies, not to reform them, but rather to guarantee they remain impotent or become advocates for big business.

    That's not reform. It's self-destruction.

As for Trump and the GOP's beef with the FBI and DOJ, you don't attack the ENTIRE agencies as corrupt, or smear them with the false label of the 'deep state'.

You isolate specific individuals for critique. You don't destroy public trust in the FBi/ Justice Department because you don't want them to investigate your WH, so if they do find something you hope you've done enough to discredit them in the eyes of the American public.

Wow..l should be asking you that.. You're the sore loser. Lol!

So one question before l reply to your questions any many points...

Do you believe Obama's appointees were perfect? Didn't he get the benefit of the doubt/wiggle room with you? I'm asking a personal question..

Here's the thing, the woman my nephew pointed to actually was "fat," but do you think that mattered to anybody who heard what my nephew said? Don't you get that HOW someone says something can be just as (or more) important than what they say?

If you're suggesting Trump use kinder words to respond to Mueller's very public eviscerating language of him, forget it. Alpha males will always take care of their enemies, privately or publicly, it all depends on how you come at them.

We had 8 years of so-called 'polite' conversation and the world and it's leaders took advantage. Enough.

Don't you get that we have to take care of home first before we take care of others? Hillary wanted open borders, Sanctuary States - Trump does not.
    What do YOU want?
What you want is the person you support.

Decorum isn't a weakness, but childish lashing out is. The sad thing is that nearly everyone including America's allies and enemies can see it, and the only people who can't are Trump's enablers.

Republicans philosophically are opposed to the federal government. They want to eliminate the IRS amid various federal agencies. Outside of the military and basic collection of taxes, most of them could do without it and would prefer the private sector be paid for what our government does with our taxes.

Conservative tax reform advocate Grover Norquist made the famous statement that he wants to make the federal government, "small enough to drown in a bathtub."

So how do conservatives accomplish that?? By breaking the federal government, then telling American voters that it doesn't work for them anymore.
That's exactly the anti-federal government policy Trump is following with his appointees.

You can't compare Trump's appointees to any previous presidents in recent memory. Don has tried to put insiders and donors to serve on the federal bench who never practiced law or even had JDs.
Most of Obama and Bush's federal appointees were either among the most qualified to serve, or over-qualified in some cases. That doesn't mean they were perfect, but no one ever said they were incompetent.
The only real qualified person Trump has nominated is current Supreme Court justice Neil Gorsuch.

I'll tell you what, if the FBI and multiple U.S. intelligence agencies had evidence the Chinese government interfered with our presidential election to favor BHO, then later the media began to report key officials inside Obama's campaign team and in his administration had private meetings with members of China's military intelligence DURING the campaign, Black folk would have moved off from Obama very quickly until things got sorted out.

Common sense says something shady and probably illegal was going on in such a scenario.

Black people loved and supported Obama, but we didn't worship him. If BHO had the dirt surrounding him that Trump did in the primaries and general election, Obama never would have been POTUS.

Same goes for Hillary, Bernie and for that matter almost any other Republican candidate.

It will be interesting to see what results come now that Trump has indeed "sent in the Feds", 20 additional agents with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives have been sent to the city. Not really a huge number, but so far they are permanent and seem to be well supported, so lets hope they make a difference. https://patch.com/illinois/chicago/trump-finally-sends-feds-chicago. Not many are aware that Trump did follow through on this, so while we must wait to see what improvement if any takes place, I will give him credit for caring enough to send in additional resources, limited as they may be.

An honest assessment of Obama actions to address the crime in Chicago below both pro and con...

    http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/...esidency-chicago-met-0108-20170106-story.html
"These Obama allies also acknowledge Obama didn't achieve everything he sought. A national infrastructure program that could have meant more big projects and jobs for Chicagoans eluded him. So, too, did securing tougher gun control measures — an issue that remains prominent as the city's homicides and shootings have surged.

His backers argue those type of achievements were unattainable in large part because of the challenges posed by the Great Recession at the outset of his presidency and Republican control of Congress in Obama's final six years that made it difficult for him to win legislative victories in the face of constant obstruction on Capitol Hill.

"I'm sure there are many areas in which he would have liked to have done more, and there are many areas in which if he had some cooperation, he could have done more," said David Axelrod, Obama's longtime political strategist who served as a White House senior adviser. "But the disappointments don't go away even as you take satisfaction in your accomplishments. You have to accept that you're there for a short period of time in the big scheme of things, and you do as much as you can and then spend the rest of your life trying to make contributions in other ways."

Well thanks for helping me make my point, Loki!
Didn't hear crap from anybody here then. So it is because he is a White man? It really is sad then.

Per the low unemployment rate in Dec that remains consistently at record low in February 2018.. I would like to hear from all the members here hysterically decrying that Trump in office hates Black people and wants to destroy the Black worker.

Loki tell me the truth, do you really believe in your heart that he wants Black people to fail under his Administration?

I believe Trump cares about others only up to the point that it makes him look good, and that goes for everyone, not just Black people. Surely you understand why many Black people and women in general, just cant ever trust Trump, he has appointed numerous people with racist leanings/statements to important positions in his administration, Higbie, Bannon, Pollack, Sessions, Miller, Gorka... google all of them and add the term racist and you find alarming admitted views and statements.

Trump re-tweeted the image below, "Every number in that image is wrong. The most recent data available from the FBI (which is for 2015) indicates that 89.3 percent of black murder victims that year were killed by black perpetrators. Among white murder victims, 81.3 percent were killed by someone who was white. It’s also obviously not the case that 3 percent of white people who were murdered were killed by police — the debate over police behavior would be very different — but none of this seems to have given Trump much pause."https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-sebastian-gorka-says/?utm_term=.7e2015163777

During his campaign, whenever speaking about minority issues, his comments were almost always framed in terms of violence, crime, failure, dysfunction, and the need for more law and order, furthering stereotypical thoughts about minorities.

I wont rehash our discussion from before detailing Trump being found guilty of housing discrimination and the allegations of discrimination and bigotry at his casino's. You add all this up Bliss and hopefully you can see why, (despite him being honored in the past by the NAACP and Jesse Jackson, and receiving other civic awards regarding minority affairs) many in the Black community, and many women based on his sexual assault allegations and his own words regarding his treatment of women in the past, believe that while there is evidence on both sides, he is not someone who cares about them.
