I wouldn't hold my breath, Unless JJ Abrams course corrects in Episode 9, it seems pretty clear to me that Star Wars wants Finn and Rey to be best buddies and not lovers. The romance angle seems to be Finn/Rose and Rey/Kylo.
Yup. Rose is a dramatic wedge between Finn and Rey; Finn is a dramatic wedge between Rey and Kylo. Honestly, I have no idea what they're gonna do. Finn and Rose's scenes and kiss were...meh; Rey/Kylo was interesting but stupid. This dude killed Han, maimed Finn (her: friend/brother/lover) and he is also a genocidal maniac. My feeling is, whatever they choose, it'll be unsatisfying and unearned.
Well, the last three Star Wars movies were increasingly disappointing. Here is hoping that this movie changes all of that.
