Zazie Beetz Cast as Domino in ‘Deadpool 2?

Most recently seen in FX’s ‘Atlanta’, Zazie Beetz will join the upcoming ‘Deadpool’ sequel as the mutant mercenary, Domino. Ryan Reynolds confirmed the casting via Twitter earlier today. Filming is scheduled to begin this June.

On the two genre sites I frequent, reception to her casting has been generally good. Remember, this is a black female with a white male in the lead. They dig that. Cast a brotha' as Deadpool and whatever hot, up and coming white actress as Domino, then it's a problem.

Could this be the first non-terrible DC cinimatic universe movie?
Although I still think they should have had her first appear in the modern times. It would be a lot more believable that a naive WW would let Batman take the lead in the justice league. A WW who has been living in the outside world for 100 years would think of Batman as a clever kid.

I'm having mixed feelings about Wonder Woman. I want to see this and I want it to be good, but DC/Warner's track record thus far, the fact that there has not been a lot of heavy push and marketing for this movie and issues that they are having with other DC movies slated for release (Batman and Flash director & screenplay woes for instance) I'm nervous that Wonder Woman may not be as good as it should be.

LOL. All the Amazons sound Israeli to me. Even the bumper music at the end sounds like Israeli pop.
But hey, WW is battling Nazis. Nothing wrong I guess with her sounding like she grew up in Jerusalem.

I'm playing the early access of Mass Effect Andromeda and it's fun. However, the game suffers the same problem the previous Mass Effect games had. The male character's voice is aggressively caucasian. Whenever a game allows me to, I always create a Black male character as my hero. But after I've spent an hour tweaking my hero in the character creation screen, It really brings the enjoyment of the game down a few notches when my badass black hero sounds so............not black.

I understand that voice acting is time and money intensive, but they could at least go with a more ethnically ambiguous voice actor.

terrible just terrible. I had such high hopes even after the main star started bad mouthing it. I got through 6 episodes and horrible. At this point, I'm just watching to see him put on the suit.

From what I've read, he isn't wearing it. Just everyday clothes. The show runner didn't think it would work in this more grounded reality. Hopefully, I'm wrong.

I'm only on episode 5 and just by the whole tone & how they are handling Danny Rand, he won't be in any kind of costume.

I meant to say "isn't wearing it." I'm surprised Marvel was okay with that. No costume was a dumb move from the get go.
