Bliss, I believe you think that way because that's how a large number of whites interpret this kind of dynamic. To them, if the woman isn't quietly docile and submissive to her husband, then he is somehow not manly and therefore not in control. And, if he can't control his woman, how can he lead a country? It's the cultural filter that white onservatives see all things through. And, since you'd rather "teach" black men how they should think, rather than learn, accept and embrace our way of thinking, you see Barack and Michelle's relationship dynamic in the same naively negative, henpecked light when in reality it is the exact opposite.

Of course we're all outsiders as to what happens in their marriage, but I think it's a safe bet that Michelle and Barack's relationship is one of mutual respect, admiration, affection and strong love. We've seen them interact many, many times since being in the public eye, and if is Michelle wearing the pants... I'd say both of them missed their calling and should've had acting careers.

Melania's body language and facial expressions are apparent. For some reason she seems extremely unhappy when she's around her husband.
People are glossing over the fact that Melania hasn't yet moved into the WH with her husband, as if they're the first wealthy family that's ever been elected to the presidency.lol

Since we are all entitled to form our own opinions, I will share mine.

Mrs. Obama is a strong woman who is fearless and speaks her mind and does so with conviction. I will never forget her speech to the country after all of the terrible Trump outbursts toward women, minirities and the LGBT community. Flawless! Heartfelt. She has the gusto to say those things that people are thinking but don't say out loud publicly in a room full of strangers. Fearless.

She is the epitome of elegance, class and grace.

In terms of public issues of importance, Michelle Obama clearly stated that helping working mothers find balance between family and employment commitments, providing necessary support for American military families, and encouraging voluntarism in community service were most important to her. Let's not forget her biggest cause that she will likely be most remember for, her "Let's Move" initiative with the purpose to raise a healthier generation of kids. Who could forget her "Lets Move" events and seeing her moving and motivating all of those kids in the crowds at schools around the nation?

The relationship Mr. and Mrs. Obama share is pure love and devotion to one another. They are the definition of relationship goals.

As for Melania Trump, I believe America expects her to be seen, not cast in the shadows of her husband or off being a mother to her child in her NY Trump Penthouse. Sure, she must raise her child and be a mother, but now she has bigger shoes to fill as FLOTUS. After all of the women who gracefully filled those shoes before her, she has her work cut out for her. But don't they all?

We expect her to have a project that's good for the nation. I have read that Trump has identified her "cause" may be cyber bulling.

We'll see.
