Either you believe Trump was bluffing his way through the primaries and general election, saying whatever he had to say to get elected, or you believe he gave us a window into his character.

The man personally insulted everyone onstage with him during the GOP primaries and proved himself to be extremely thin skinned with his Twitter rants.

At some point even you as a conservative need to take a long hard look at Donald Trump and try to figure out who he is.

As it stands, Trump ripped off Bernie Sanders platform during the primaries and pretended to be a populist.
If the man is just an empty suit and has his own agenda that none of us really knows yet, that's scary.

 

It's been quite interesting reading peoples' responses to what happened this morning.

I worked as an election judge yesterday because an extra $225 couldn't hurt and because I needed the distraction. I woke up at 4:00 a.m. yesterday morning and didn't get to sleep until 1:00 a.m. today because I was watching election coverage.

To Hillary supporters, I'm sorry for your loss. If it's any consolation, Hillary won the tiny precinct I worked: Clinton 195, Trump 131, Johnson 16, Stein 7.

Now, can we please move forward as a nation?

Now close your eyes, take long deep breaths, imagine my fingers massaging your temples, and slowly count to 10.

It will be okay. There will be no death camps. Gay marriage is not going away. Abortion is not going away. There will be no nuclear war.

The country will continue to run. The country will survive. And what you should take comfort in is the fact that now that Hillary isn't President-Elect, we aren't going to war against Russia!

That thought is a great comfort to me.

And now, TDK, practice what you've been preaching...go out, campaign for your local politicians, city council members, alderpeople, etc. who represent your values. Get involved. Encourage others to get involved.

And most importantly, never accept corruption in your elected officials. Corruption doesn't translate to helping the regular people. It translates to more money in the pockets of politicians and less money for us.

And now I speak to everyone, let's hope that the DNC does some serious reflection on what happened and start ridding themselves of corrupt individuals (getting rid of Brazile would be a great start) and putting their weight and strength behind truly progressive politicians who will once again truly work for us, the American people.

Let's all put our differences aside and work together now. We need unity now more than ever.
