Lol.. Editor Ed Klein reported it. Mind you, yesterday Huma made the call to Trump regarding Hillary's Concession ..she introduced her as, 'Secretary Clinton would like to speak to Mr. Trump" Lol Secretary? She's former and Secretaries don't refer to themselves as that once out of office. You know she was thinking The Queen wants to speak to you.(not with you, btw) Obama and Trump just wrapped up their 90 minute meeting. Everyone had nice things to say, of course.
Losing the election: Reports coming from campuses that colleges are holding 'cry-ins,' bringing in therapy dogs and allowing students to play with Play-Doh or color with crayons to deal with the loss. I'm done. Who the hell is this next generation.
What next generation? All your walking dead fantasies are going to come true. Literally these most incompetent man short of being mentally disabled had the nuclear codes and has an enemy list. It's fun and games until presses the shiny red button.
You got to let old lady bliss get her word in.... I'm just waiting for her to go "back in my day" and how she had to walk 100 miles in the snow.... lmao sadly we will all be there. I'll buy her a cane and a rocking chair ...all she has to do is ask.
I don't see an issue with the therapy. Some of these youngsters would be adversely affected by Trump's campaign promiises should they actually come to fruition. I'm sure many have loved ones/friends who would be targets of Trump's promises regarding illegal immigrants, the fact that he disagrees with anchor children being US citizens and so on. Then, there's the Muslim thing. These things are alarming to many (myself included), and I can see why the grief counselors and so on would be necessary.
Fam just more good old Republican callousness. She's not the one feeling it so of course it's soft bullshit. They lack compassion period the end
I also don't find it surprising given that these kids have been raised in a very pc environment. They were raised with parents intervening and given awards and trophies for participation. They have been told throughout their lives that they are wonderful and everything will be ok. They live in a very protected rose colored world. The campaigns and election has been shocking to them. They have not been brought up in a world where someone is yelling and calling names. Let alone to come to the realization that the majority of the country voted for someone who said such outrageous things. Is it ridiculous? maybe. But on the other hand, if we take a look at the way they've been raised, it's not surprising at all. I've seen how they deal with classes and not being handed an A for showing up to classes....it's not pretty.
That may well be, but I still say this is very real and alarming for any person in such a situation. You don't have to be a coddled child to be seriously affected to learn that your life (loved one's) as they know it to suddenly be in jeopardy because some person wants to kick you out of the country. I can only imagine the fear has to be alarming. Not to mention the hate coming from racist people here with their anti-immigrant tactics.
IKR, what else is new. Yesterday, I had a co-worker PM me on FB because of my status to say that I should be "more positive" about the election results because "we need to come together as Americans, and she felt as I do when President Obama won his elections" . I reminded her of why I had no feeling of optimism regarding a Trump presidency, and that anyone over 30 y/o knows the feeling of their candidate of choice losing a presidential election. I also told her of the fact that prior elections were far different as we've never had an openly racist candidate spewing such hate as part of their campaign promises. Also, that in regards to Trump... Most of us who oppose him do so not because of hearsay.... but the words coming from his own mouth many times. So, he created this climate, and I wasn't going to fall for that crap. Then... Since she did mention President Obama, I made mention of how he tried over and over again to reach out to the other side, and got nothing but disrespect, hatred, racism, accusations of being Muslim and communist (as if those are bad things), in addition to all the other BS. BTW- My status was something like "dreary conditions as far as the eye can see. Totally symbolic"
Honestly I don't get these concerns. When you live in a world where a kid rapes someone rape someone and get 2 years, I just do a eye roll on anyone who is complaining about the pampered kid. This person really isn't the person that I am going to be worried about. There are a lot of kids that are raised poorly but the pc kid isn't going to be the biggest problem. That's just my comment. I know people don't like to hear that but it is trivial when it comes to who did the wrong thing in raising kids. You know it is like the cop that stops someone for jaywalking. They treat the offense as if they were murdering someone. I know people mean well but it is trivial.
Right...and that's part of what I was trying to say. I'm talking about a generation who fully believed there is no such thing as racism and no matter what they do, it will be ok. that truly was their reality and for many of them the very first view of anything other than that has been this election process. Of course there are also many kids who live with racism every day and know what it's like to be afraid every single day and are not in any way shocked by anything that has gone on. I'm betting though that those are not the kids who are acting in those ways either. Based on the little bit I've seen on FB, much of it has been from the coddled kids who truly have not experienced reality until right now. I will go back to that I think it absolutely sucks that ANY child has to deal with the reality of abusive people. However, that will never go away. Like it or not, we can't control what's going on, only how we deal with it and how we choose to react to it. I'm certainly aware of the harsh reality. I'm one of those mom's who now gets to explain this to my children.
It's so unbelievably disheartening that people don't get why there's such pain and outrage in this election. I see so many comments online about whiny liberals needing to just suck up the loss. The fact of the matter is that this election was never truly about which party was entering the Whitehouse come January. This election was about the core values of this country and what Americans will and won't tolerate and for the end result to have shown that Americans support racism, sexism, hate, discrimination against all that is not white, etc, is heartbreaking beyond belief. Idgaf that Republicans won, I care that HATE won. There's no spinning that, regardless how Trump supporters may try. I respect people's opposing political opinions but this election is about discrimination, masquerading as "political opinion". Trump supporters are trying to trivialize this as if we're just sour about losing but the truth is, America lost two nights ago, not just Democrats. I saw people, supposedly friends, votr for an Amerikkka that directly puts my family at risk. The magnitude of that is tremendous and not something I'll get over, or "suck up", ever. They voted against my husband's worth as a human being, voted against my children, my daughter. I'll never accept the message Americans sent 2 days ago. I think many Americans, young and old, feel just as betrayed and heartbroken as I do and hearing people trying to trivialize that makes me even angrier.
Shit, I'd need three therapy dogs to cuddle if I fell in love with Bernie, settled for HRC.....then ended up against my will with TRUMP.
Preach sister preach and this right here is why in the past women with black kids and family had more clout There is no opting out there is no burying your head in the sand. This is only the beginning unfortunately I wonder what the excuse will be when the killings start. I guess we should have known better than to be black.
I voted for Mikey mouse and when I got back to the country I was told he did not win and Trump is the new prez. You gotta give to Trump, whether you like him or don't the guy knows how to win by any means necessary He literally played this game like the apprentice, unbelievable
