And a height requirement? Napoleon complex might just be real. Or is it perhaps that non-combative men sitting in cars are STILL threatening to men like him.
Ugh. I read a comment on another site that a bullet hit an artery and he eventually bled out. That a torniquet needed to have been applied. Why didnt anyone just help him? So furious and broken over this senseless shooting.
That's the thing I really wish that woman didn't go and do was assume he was Chinese. Seems small compared to the bigger issue, but narrowing him down to a nationality is ignorant.
Very powerful video blog right there... I applaud her for speaking her heart and standing up to those racist and cowardly cops who need to get out of the powerful position they have been entrusted to protect all people! This is a sad reality and it breaks my heart when terrible tragedies happen and sadly continue to occur almost on a daily basis. It breaks my heart to watch the op Philando video. I don't know how she remained so composed immediately following the shooting... I commend her composure and sharing the incident as it happened with the world. Sadly, I'm certain they will find a way to excuse the murder. Just unimaginable... I'm scared for my kids man...
I'll say this about cops, I don't know how they maintain their sanity with all the ugliness they see on a daily basis on the street, and within law enforcement. If I saw people at their worst as a part of my job it would make my a little crazy. That said, she's been a Black female cop for 20 years in Cleveland and this is the ONE bad shoot she chose to speak out about?? Was the Philando Castile murder worse than Tamir Rice, which happened in CLeveland where she works?? She spoke a lot of truth but IMO she was holding back. When she dropped some cops have a 'God complex' and are afraid to talk to minorities, I thought she was about to go there but she really can't unless she plans to quit her job and pension. Muthafuckas with a God-complex get off on the fact they literally hold the power of life and death in their own hands and are sanctioned by the state to summarily execute anyone under basic guidelines. That's a level of personal power most of us will never experience and I have to think some cats go into LE for the ego trip.
My two favorite pics of him... Still grieving very much for him and his loved ones. Beyond senseless.
That is really sad that they're going to find a way to make him look like a terrible person to justify killing him
That's NOT true. You are likely mixing him up with Sterling, who was a felon, registered sex offender, domestic abuser, etc. People have been categorically noting that Castile led an exemplary life..worked hard all his life, graduated school with honors, was extremely popular with the kids at the school he worked at, lived by the law, (and horribly, died by it) ... I read he was targeted (way beyond just DWB) in excess of 50 times for driving infractions ..paid thousands in fines for 43 of them (l'm thinking he was the local cops go-to guy to amp up their ticket numbers and funding for the PD). His only downfall appears to be him not having his shit together to stop them pulling him over so much, however I saw a story that said he DID NOT have a busted tail light (l must find it)...which proves he was ridiculously targeted. I wish there was footage of before the shooting, but I'm sure he was so used to being pulled over for bs, he didn't feel the need to press record. I also wish he had gotten a dashcam to show how often he was stopped.
The hell it's not true. How the fuck would you know what all is being said out there? I'm not mixing anything up. I know the difference between the two men. I was on FB last night and someone had posted a so called news story about Castile stating he didn't have a carry permit, he was holding the gun in his lap, that he and his gf were suspects in an robbery and that's why they were pulled over. As well as all sorts of other shit including speculations about all the times he's been pulled over and such too. There's already a post on snopes about the story. Does it really surprise you to find that there will be those who are going to do anything possible to twist things and turn it into that he was in the wrong and the shooting is justified?

I'm talking about what people do about things - that they twist things and turn the victim into the wrong doer. I just told you they posted a media source. As if the media is the tell all for what people are doing, feeling, and saying. WTF is your damn problem.
Wtf is yours, you mean. What's your news source that say he was illegally carrying, had the gun out and a robbery suspect? I bet it's a bunch of nobodies with nothing to back up it up and why they should be ignored and not given the time of day. Here is Time Magazine's on his standing as a role model.. http://time.com/4397086/minnesota-shooting-philando-castile-role-model-school/
Bliss - I don't agree with anything they posted (the article was ridiculous..even if it was a "news source"). I simply was saying that I think it's really shameful that people would feel the need to rake a man over the coals who was killed. I find it sickening that people would do such a thing! Unfortunately though, like it or not....that sortof of shit happens and goes much further than it should. Why would you on the attack against me? What's the point in doing that?
K, I pointed out to you that the collective consensus on this man was that he was upstanding, that he in fact was not being spoken of in the mainstream as contributing or being resposible. There are ALWAYS going to be people who will blame him just for the mere fact that he was black - we can't give these people their false narrative because it stokes fires that they want lit. Even cops have not spoken out negatively on him... I know cops and I can tell you that many of them are shaking their head at these young and inexperienced Rogue cops that really are fucking up. I wasn't going against you I was saying that that's not the mainstream narrative out there. But you came back at me with your f-bombs and what not, so you as an italian, you should know us Greek girls don't take kindly to that. :smt061
