IT is cool. Never boring, and I do enjoy working in a field where technology is always evolving.

Of course I'm biased, but NYC is awesome at during the holiday season. I took some folks to NYC this past holiday season. Yes, you'd need to bundle up, especially since you live in a warm climate. A warm coat and hat is a given, but just remember to not forget about the extremeties, especially if you'll be outdoors for an extended amount of time.

Driving in NYC is already interesting, but the cab drivers really take it up a notch:). That said... I'll admit that they get you there, and though they may scare the hell out of you... usually you'll be in one piece:). In DC... I really don't get these guys. They act like they're scared of the car. DC cab drivers are rapidly becoming an Ethiopian/Eritrean stronghold.

I stayed close to home as I had to watch the college basketball Final Four games last weekend.

No worries seeing as I've been just as guilty.

Yeah, I'm thinking traffic must been good once the cab got out of Manhattan, and onto the highway. I'm sure he was happy to have you as that's a good treck from PABT to JFK airport. Actually, I think it's a flat fare from any point in Manhattan, then he's guaranteed to gat a fare heading back to Manhattan.

At the time, Port Authority was the only place where a black man could get a cab. The cabbies in the vicinity of Port Authority had to pull in and pick up any waiting passengers. And NYPD was present. The fare was $60.00. I tipped him the same amount. Hey, I was in a generous mood.

Yup! It either has to be at a designated taxi stand or there's another trick. If you're with others like a female and/or non-black people.... One of them hail the taxi while the black guy stands away from the person(s) hailing the taxi. Once he stops, then all of you get into the cab. There has been cases where that was attempted, the cab driver spotted the black person and suddenly took off with the door open, and before any of the party could enter the cab.

When will it ever change. People are so dillusional with their beliefs. Gosh you were generous alright!!! That tipping game is serious business over there. It's nice to see the shock on the person's face when you do tip them so much though ?.

It is definitely harder in NYC, especially at night. I try to always ride with with a white person, lol.

    Class act, as always. :smt023

I bet he was like "wtf?"

I rarely exceed 33%. If I do, it has been some damned good service! Lol

That's good to hear they're a less shady over there lol. The majority of them here are cool, pretty funny and entertaining people. You get the odd rogue individual attempting to rip you off. But that is more of an all race inclusive issue.

I'm not so envious now lol. I don't know why she messed with her face. Don't get why they do that shit. Sad situation though. She is pretty hot. They are/were a good looking couple together looked genuinely happy. They just need to call it quits for good now.

That's mad. It's certainly beneficial doing something you love so good for you. Working is just a drab for sooo many people! I think 'warm' is an understatement! lol this place is tooooo damn hot!! Give me NY weather ANY day of the week. When i went to NYC I had come directly from New Orleans (hot as fk) wow! and everyone was like oh no you won't need a jumper or anything. It was like 19 degrees or something like that one night i thought i was going to catch pneumonia was a good enough reason to buy a big thick 'New York' hoodie there though lol. I'll never listen to other people's opinions again lol

All I can say is you're game! I mean i've seen it in the sex and the city series lol the cab drivers continually beeping and shit. They're so uptight lol was interesting witnessing it first hand. There was a funny incident when i was on one of the those hop on hop off buses. The driver was asian and anyway we got to Brooklyn next minute he's abusing the german tourists (a couple) and pulled out a key and held it to the husbands throat lol crazzyyy another bus driver had to step in.. also got exposed to by two men in New Orleans, abused and told to get off a bus by a woman in Memphis, proposed to by a man in Nashville, told I had a good Aura in LA. Man there was never a dull moment haha!! Australia is too drama free man!! No one holds back over there!

That'd be the life for them though. Just being over there.

So admirable how you are all soo into your sport!!

    Truth!

    Awesome! You made his day.

Yeah, I've always felt bad for folks on a job/profession where they hate what they're doing. It's not always fun and games in my line of work, but I do feel fortunate to like what I do.

I'm glad you're able to not be phased by crazy scenes that you encounter. The one on the tour bus is hilarious. Plenty of pervs are actually on NYC subway exposing themselves to women.

I love New Orleans, and it is indeed hot (and humid) as hell. Thankfully, I was there during the winter so, the warm weather was welcome. Partied my ass off on Bourbon St (and I'm not quite the party type, but unfortunately we had one dude with us who turn out to be sort of a buzzkill.

Did you mean 19 degrees Celsius??? For me that would be a decent day:). 19F on the other hand... will freeze anyone.

Hope your weekend is off to a good start.

I had a better deal when I landed in Ft. Lauderdale. Instead of catching a cab, I paid $15.00 for a car service. That seems to be a pretty lucrative deal for anyone who has a large luxury car like a Lincoln Town Car or a large van or SUV.

New Orleans is, like Las Vegas, a place to be experienced once.

Wow! $15.00 that's unheard of lol is that like an Uber kinda service? That service is so big ovee here. Most likely is going to put the cabbies out of business. At least cabbies don't have panties, rubbish, clothes or go know what else thrown across the backseat.

Considering our time is so limited. It truly is so sad. I think people really have it wrong in that regard.

Problem solving will always keep you on your toes though. That's certainly a bonus in your field. I'm sure it's never routine.

Hahaha. I was personally scared this asian was going to pull some Bruce Lee shit on this poor tourist. It was only over the fact the bus driver couldnt understand the German. The language barrier irated him lol. But still he took extreme measures lol. There was a few more entertaining encounters. So funny. The flashing part was a bit shocking this was in New Orleans hotel just at the lifts. And two little white sausages was NOT what i wanted to see at 5am in the morning lol. I did hear that about the subway in NYC. I never got to take it. I've heard that women get groped and all sorts!

Lol oh no not the buzzkillers! Don't you hate them!! I'm with you. Wow. The history, the houses, the Mississipi River. You know what. Coming from having stayed in Memphis and partying down Beale St for 13 days straight lol Bourbon St felt like a let down for me. Maybe it was different or better when you were there. But I'd heard sooo much about it but it just wasn't as great in person. I mean it probably didn't help that as soon as i got there i got hit in the head hard by some beads lol (hopefully not anal beads) hahaha.

It was degrees celsius. Which is freezing for us being used to 29-31 degree celsius weather lol.

I just think in general America is such a great place. It must be so nice to live somewhere with an abundance of history and so many sights to see and things to do on the weekend. I can't imagine one getting bored at any stage!

Dicks Last Resort was an experience in Nashville too haha had no idea shit like that existed! Oh and your Wet Willies mannnnn they are LUSH!!!! I lived off the chocolate thunder. My taste buds still crave it to this day haha

You're bringing out the writer in me man! I'll be writing 10 page essays soon haha not good!! I'm going to get booted off this site lol

Thank you. I'm just getting up now lol. One more day of work for you so enjoy it!!!

This is my fav pic that i took in New Orleans ?

Other than a tweet thanking Russell for "his film," Azelea hasn't said much about the ordeal or the status of her relationship with Young. But she just stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show – sporting her $500,000 engagement ring – to talk about it all, and revealed that it's all good on the home front.

"We're good," Azalea said. "There isn't [any controversy] at home. Just on the Internet."

I time will tell. Not quite sure how you just go along pretending like it's all good or whatever. But each to their own i suppose. The sad reality is she's happy to marry someone who's already cheated on her. Fk that. That's destined for divorce.

I can't understand Nick Young. Paul Newman said it best when asked why he never cheated on his wife: "Why fool around with hamburger when you have steak at home?”
