LOS ANGELES - The sexy text message that detonated the bloody brawl between Chris Brown and Rihanna reportedly came from his manager - and she's twice his age!

Tina Davis, who turns 40 this month, sent Brown the notorious three-page text that "talked about hooking up later," celebrity news site TMZ.com reported, citing unnamed sources.

Brown and Davis shot down earlier reports of a two-year sexual liaison back in November 2007, telling Vibe magazine their relationship was "strictly professional."

Davis did not respond to repeated messages yesterday, but her proud father jumped to her defense in an interview with the Daily News.

"I'm pretty sure it's not true," dad George Davis, 63, said when asked whether his daughter and Brown were romantically involved. "I doubt it, and that's coming from her father. We're pretty close."

A police affidavit says only that the text came from "a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with." An industry source described the message as a "booty call."

Brown, 19, was charged with two felonies related to the alleged punching, choking and biting he dispensed to his 21-year-old girlfriend on the day the two were to attend the Grammy Awards.

He's free on $50,000 bail and due for arraignment April 6.

He and Rihanna are dating again, sources tell The News, and they may even be back in the studio recording a duet about their stormy past.

"They've been working on it together," holing up in a Santa Monica studio for the last several days, a source told E! News.

Kids' TV network Nickelodeon, meanwhile, said it has no plans to remove Brown as a nominee for its annual Kids' Choice Awards, airing March 28.

An online petition asking Nickelodeon to remove Brown and Rihanna as nominees had 2,166 signatures yesterday. Nick says Brown was nominated for his work as a performer, and kids will decide who wins.With Korin Miller

You know what the crappiest thing about them getting back together?

All of the girls who are in abusive relationships that won't get out or get help now, because Rihanna took him back.

She needs to start touring the country and explaining her story and explaining why girls who find themselves in this situation need to get help immediately. They both need to become advocates of this cause.
