The guy is a douche. Even if he somehow isn't a racist, he actively traffics in his killing of another human being as some sort of conversation starter or identifier.

He won't serve near close to that max sentence.
In fact on appeal he's probably out in 5 years.

5 years in prison still sucks. Hell, 30 days in jail is a BITCH.

IMO this is the judge sending the message there is a hidden coalition who supports George Zimmerman, still.

Also, it's Florida. There's no way IMO for an attorney to predict a legal outcome in that state.

George Zimmerman and Casey Anthony walked free for murder.

However a dude who attempts to shoot GZ and kill him but doesn't gets sentenced like a hardcore killer.

 

Twenty years in prison is a long time.

Don't be surprised by what happens in this state.

There is always some kind of backroom dealings going on.

GZ had better keep his mouth shut because if he continues to brag about his side of the story there will always be someone who be gunning for him.
