Tomi Rae isn't getting much love from JB fans. I'm not sure if it's because she's white...or what.

:? I think that's SOME of it Kid but also it's the "LOOT DIGGER" syndrome as well especially after the whole Lou Rawls thing and all. I don't have any problems with her only to say that she should have taken care of her legal business with JB BEFORE he died :!:

This is what Al Sharpton had to say:

Sharpton also had harsh words for people who have put themselves in the spotlight since Brown died of heart failure Christmas morning at 73. While he didn't name specific people, as he made those comments Sharpton glanced in the direction of Brown's companion, Tomi Rae Hynie, who was sitting in the front row with her and Brown's 5-year-old son.

"If you really are all that you say you are, you don't place yourself in the story, the story puts you in your place," said Sharpton, a confidante who had accompanied Brown's body to New York City and back. "We don't want to hear your story or your mess, we're here because of James Brown. The reason I am here is because I walked with James Brown."
I think people can see through her charades. I saw one article where she's now crying racism and another one where she alluded to the fact that she was in rehab because of problems with JB yet she still claims she's the "only one who could handle" him. She pictured herself controlling his estate and this is what bothers her the most IMO. Here's what one WW had to say:

I hope his wife gets everything he left.

Some would love to see his black children totally shut out like Lou Rawls' wife threatened to do since she had already gotten him to adopt a white infant knowing Lou was seriously ill. That was her little "extra" insurance policy I guess. It must have been sheer hell trying to annul a marriage from his deathbed while she continued to bombard him with legal papers in the presence of her lawyers.

 And again, she should have taken care of that BEFORE he died. Now she has even less say-so over his estate other than maybe getting something for her son.
