Thank you.... Thank you inner strength that allowed me to say this to the person I had to walk away from 6+ months ago so he could be the father he wanted to be and I could be the woman I wanted to be. He sent me a email today asking about my sons Christmas. I ended on this note after a quick exchange and he responded "thank you sooooo much" I know we still love each other and always will but life didn't intend for us to be together. We are each others' test at integrity. "Hey, thank you! I've missed you so much and think of you so often but knew/know my place. I understand this isn't an open invitation of communication so rest assured I won't be reaching out. (I know I did one night after a few beers watching bball out - sorry for that) But I've given up on trying to push you out of my heart or mind. So just know that when you do come to mind now, I say a prayer for your peace and happiness. You deserve it!" My heart is happily shattered again because she has her man and that baby has his dad.
