She had a fair amount of support, people who viewed her as having got a raw deal because other members didn't welcome her with open arms. It's their fault she looks bad now because they 'made' her defensive. Yeah, I'm not buying that either, the women was a troll, plain and simple. There will no doubt be the typical slew of people saying how they don't understand why she was banned, and they feel it was so unfair... and yet they almost always preface those statements with 'I didn't actually read all her posts, but'...

I think you're the only person on here who can tell people what their rep power is Arch, it's amazing how you can keep track. I don't know what my own is, and don't care, they're completely meaningless digits so I don't see the point in tracking them.

 

I realized her tone right away and recognized what was up.

Some of the phrases and terms she was using was pretty telling.

She even remarked "I am probably one of those black guys that hate to see white men with black women"

That is not the comment a white woman would make from my experience, but I do know who would say it.

 

Exactly!!! Especially when reuglars gave line by line assesments of her shitty divisive comments.
It definitely shows me how limited some people can be and how quick they are to stand up for a complete stranger against their fellow vets. Disgusting.

 

If you didn't read much beyond her first post, I'm sure it looks like she was treated badly. I don't form opinions without research, and I certainly don't ban people without reading every post they make. Her agenda was very clear, that's my opinion, as I said other people are free to hold any opinion they choose.

She'll be back, you can count on that. Maybe she'll start off well, and maybe she won't, that's up to her. I really don't care at the moment as I don't plan to be here when she does... on that note, I'm going back to bed, I was up all night and I don't feel well.

I know that, I just don't bother to look. Since I took down my avatar, I don't even notice which posts are mine. I was reading an old thread the other day, and came upon a post and thought 'wow, this person's reading my mind'... looked over and it was me.

Right before that thread was deleted I posted that we should take a page out of YMRA's book and break bread in 2011

But I'll respond to this assuming im one of the folks youre talking about.

Im a man of principle. I see right as right and wrong as wrong. Doesnt matter who im talking to or how cool I am with them or whether they'll like me or not. How I talk to people on this forum is pretty much how i flow with people I actually know on the street. If i disagree, I'll say it. No ulterior motives or schtick whatsoever.

That said, im a member of a lot of forums...MMA, F1, hip hop, etc.... I see trolls come and go all the time. And she was borderline. I think the strong reaction to her added fuel to the fire. She had some insensitive things to say about dark skinned black men that ticked me off but it was somewhat of a chicken or egg scenario so i left it alone.

Theres a sensitivity to trolls on this forum ive never seen before. the only troll i can think of that needed a ban without question was emanuella, and that was because she went into the Men's locker room on several occasions and called my fellow brothas pussies for posting NC-17 pics of women, only to turn around and post xxx rated shit the next day to fuck with everybody.

So all in all.. didnt think it was that serious

Fair enough. My only issue was that you amongst other posters immediately sided with her without really reading her posts. Its like people really believe this light skin dark skin things is at the forefront of our minds when in reality most guys don't care about. Mainly more bw do but I digress. I'm willing to let it go.

Agreed. I sometimes wonder if at least some of the borderline ones become self-fulfilling prophesies due to the treatment they get right off the bat.

Not every new person that comes on this forum is a troll. I believe in the wait and see approach.

Had her thread not blown up like it did, if she was a troll, she would have started another thread that may have truly proved that her agenda was anything but positive.

Sometimes waiting and seeing is better than pulling the plug too quickly.

 

Then you weren't truly reading her replies Book. They weren't run of the mill fuck yous they were deliberate divisive comments. I thought I would never have to say this on here but is a "black" thing.

None of you women have ever felt compelled to make derrogatory remarks about someones skin tone light dark or otherwise and ww who date bm wouldn't do that. Hell white people in general don't do that amongst a large black audience. The chick was very suspect but you and others focused on what everyone was saying to her but not what she was saying to others.

 

I read her posts. I understood the meaning behind her posts. As much as I can understand where you all were coming from regarding the nature of that thread and her posts, I do.

However, I stand by my position that she was banned too quickly. There are regular posters on here that can be quite divisive, and yet no one speaks up about it. It's all hush, hush.

I guess it's okay when regular posters practice it, but not newbies.

I'm not saying her agenda wasn't a negative one, but in my opinion, her agenda wasn't negative enough yet to be banned. Given time, who knows what would have happened.
