I'm going to check it out because a black male seems to be at the center of it. But, if after a few episodes it's just mid or the focus shifts away from him, I'm out. Star-Trek has lost it's way and hasn't recovered. The first season of Strange New Worlds was promising. Then, it went downhill from there. I call Modern Trek "Back-Trek" because it's fixated on retelling and up ending the classic Trek mythos. It doesn't look forward. Always back. And it never tries to grapple with big issues. Where classic Trek looks tried to imagine humanity as it could be, modern Back-Trek(modern-trek) just takes humans as we are now and puts them in the future.

Man, I wish we were getting a new season of The Orville.

I saw someone's observation of why these new takes on Star Trek are not hitting the way people think they should. It's because they are done from a "centrist" point of view rather than a "progressive" point of view. Focus too much on problems & faults rather than solutions to overcoming said problems & faults.

Right!

Marvel Announces End of the Ultimate Universe

One of the most captivating visions of the Marvel mythos is coming to an end! The final days of the Ultimate Universe, the acclaimed line of titles that ignited the industry over the last two years, begins on December 31 in Ultimate Endgame.

The five-issue event series by Ultimates writer Deniz Camp and artists Jonas Scharf and Terry Dodson brings the Ultimate series together for the long-awaited showdown with the architect behind this twisted universe, the Maker. To mark the occasion, Ultimate Endgame #1 will introduce True Believers Blind Bags, Marvel's first-ever Blind Bag program, that give fans a chance to purchase the issue in special sealed bags containing one of the issue’s variant covers, including rare covers exclusive to Blind Bags like the recently revealed hand-drawn, one-of-a-kind sketch covers.

Created by Jonathan Hickman and Bryan Hitch in Ultimate Invasion, the Ultimate Universe was built with a predetermined endpoint—the Maker's return from captivity! In Ultimate Endgame, two years have passed in the Ultimate Universe, but inside the City, the Maker has had thousands of years to prepare for his return! With the barrier around the city finally gone, heroes all across the Ultimate Universe must mobilize to defeat the Maker before it's game over. For everyone. Meanwhile, the rest of the world wages World War III.

Picked up in a two-season order, Pluribus is a genre-bending original in which the most miserable person on Earth must save the world from happiness.

Starring Rhea Seehorn, the nine-episode drama series will make its global debut on Apple TV. The first two episodes will be available on Friday, November 7, 2025, followed by new episodes every Friday through December 26

Netflix has released the official trailer for Stranger Things 5, which will premiere on three dates: Volume 1 on November 26 (Episodes 501-504), Volume 2 on December 25 (Episodes 505-507), and the finale on December 31 (Episode 508).

Finally. Finish the damn story please. All the "kids" are now adults IRL, so prolonging & trying to drag things out serves no purpose in the grand scheme of things.
