If I were to drop a fresh born baby in the a remote area. It would not come up with the theory of relativity even if that child was Albert Einstein or had the highest intelligence on the planet. Some one still needs to teach you how to use the information that you have.

Keep in mind Albert Einstien Who came up with E=mc^2 once thought his sister was a toy!
no education even for a bright guy Like Einstien still gives you a dumb guy.
He didn't have the education to make a sound decision about what is human and what is a toy. His parents had to educate him. Every one is on the same level with intelligence. It is the education that slowly splits people apart.

This is a cool thread. I really like this picture. I never read the Luke Cage comics.

Ok you are right, Education is important. But what I'm trying to say is. Anyone can go to the best college (money permitting) but no matter how much money they have, not just anyone can be super-intelligent.

That picture is from a short lived series called the Pulse. Which itself was spun from a comic called Alias. The comic was about woman who was a Superhero, turned Private Investigator, turned Reporter. Along the way she meets Luke Cage and they have a friends with benefits thing, that later turns into a serious relationship and she gets pregnant. The writer (Brian Micheal Bendis), carried over their storyline to the currently still publishing New Avengers comic.

What are your thoughts on the TV series being developed for the Jessica Jones character?

The character Jessica Jones has so many connections to other superheros. It will be interesting to see how they structure the show. Will they mention her connection to Spiderman? will they make reference to her retconned stint as an Avenger. I think it will be interesting to see if they bring the whole Luke Cage interracial romance storyline over to the series.

I hope they don't get carried away with too much "girl power" rhetoric. For a show like this to survive, it will need a strong female and male audience. and most guys don't want to see male bashing or gender issues.

I also hope they cast the roles correctly, so many shows are ruined by miscasting. The lead actress should be very pretty but not glamorous looking, she should look smart but look good in a superhero costume (for the flashback scenes) she should also be in her late 20's or early 30's

I think It could be a cool show if they respect the source materiel.

I'll admit, I don't know that much about Jessica Jones to really have a point of reference, but from the way you described her earlier it seems like it could make for a good show if they can get it to take off. I think I remember reading an article that said it would be on ABC, while some others of Marvel will be going to ABC Family, or something like that.

With all of the cross over stuff on the big screen with Marvel, I hope this kind of stuff happens on the small screen too. I'd like to see Luke Cage pop up in the show and the get his own movie, but who knows.

Far as casting is concerned, I'm a fan of going with absolute no namers to keep the talent fresh, but I can understand the need to cast people who can carry an audience. I'd like to see Eliza Dushku in another action role. She could be good as a female superhero.

Are any of you currently active comic readers going to be checking out any of DC's three black super hero offerings in Static Shock, Mr. Terrific, Batwing coming in this new reboot?

Looks interesting, this could be a good time to get back into actually purchasing comics. Though I will say that I was more of a fan of Mister Terrific's old costume with the jacket.

Can anyone tell me what the obvious "no-no" is on this picture from the forth coming Amazing Spider-Man film? And "no" it's not the overall costume design.

That's far too far way from its release date, Tammy. :( Have you been keeping up with the recent videos and images of the game? Looking really promising! Get your Wii-mote wagging mode on!

Yeah, it is still a bit of a wait, but at least it's finally happening. I'm overdue for a new Zelda fix. What I've seen looks pretty interesting; I'm definitely looking forward to playing.

Oh indeed. This is the third time Nintendo released more than one Zelda game on their consoles. I cannot wait to soar around on those birds and explore the sky lands itself. But I'm wondering how the story will pan out. From the looks of it, Ganon won't be there this time.

if it has nothing to do with the costume itself, it must be in the way spidey is moving

I always noticed that he has a certain posture when throwing webs and flying around the buildings and stuff

if it's not that, then i'd go with the suction attire on his feet..i never noticed that in any variations of him i've seen..

they may as well put some on his hands :p
