Sexual Harassment/Assault Scandals

Fuck her. She has the typical black female spin on this: what about MY pain? Black women hate that their arch nemesis, white women, are being portrayed as victims to the sexual aggressiveness of men. If instead it were black women in the forefront of this "movement" with a bunch of horror stories of them being abused in these was, particularly at the hands of black men, then they wouldn't complain. But it has to be painful for black women to deal with the fact that, yes, white women can be victimized too. It also must hurt that the sexual harassment in Hollywood for the most part excludes black women, suggesting that just maybe they aren't seen as desirable. Most of all, as I have pointed out before, some black women tend to want to make everything about black women. So if they can't control this narrative their response would be to criticize the narrative.

I have some issues with this particular movement but for the most part I find this reaction by women to be reasonable, whether it is in Hollywood, politics, the automotive industry etc. Even at the risk of going overboard and overreacting at times, this movement was needed. A side benefit of it by the way is that these revelations have shown white guys, including beloved liberal ones, in a negative light. Behind the facade of white guys being the ideal men who are ahead of other men in terms of sexism, this movement has exposed the hypocrisy, depravity and entitlement of white dudes. They come across as the type of petty, controlling, abusive and insecure assholes that black female authors have portrayed black men as being for such a long time. Remember in the eyes of many black women white guys are the ultimate embodiment of grass being greener on the other side. Turns out, despite white males being in positions of power that black men aren't, that is far from the truth. It is hard for me to get worked up over any media story that focuses the vast majority of its negative coverage on white men. Doesn't matter if a handful of black guys fall into the mix because most of those guys, like Cosby, probably deserve to be taken down anyway.
You're reaching, notice no Asian or Hispanic women have really come out in numbers and white dudes for the most part, especially Jewish dudes, LOVE Asian women. Personally I think the media cherry picks the victims they believe the public will care most about. And I get why black women as a whole would be upset because yet again here is another example showing them they don't count as much if at all. As hyper masculine as hip hop is you don't think there isn't swaths of metoos out there fam? Please. This is like the R.Kelly thing, his victims are black so the authorities don't give a fuck, if they were white he'd be dead at his home "reaching what looked like a gun"
The society in which we live doesn't care about the suffering or mutilation of black and brown bodies. That's why some asshole can go around delivering bombs and killing black folks but not be called a terrorist.

Nothing. His ex-wife, who's an actress, claimed that he beat her during their bitter divorce. Oldman got full custody of both of his sons despite the accusations. When a man gets custody, you know the wife is a complete fuck up.

Oldman's son even wrote an oped defending him and calling his own mother liar.

http://variety.com/2018/film/news/gary-oldman-son-domestic-abuse-allegations-statement-1202719917/

I don't fucking like Oldman because he's a quasi-racist Trump supporter, but I got to take the principled stand on this shit. The fact that all of these people went after him and the Academy for giving him an award proves that #metoo is hysterical BS. Matt Damon got unfairly demonized for correctly assessing the problem with this movement. You got men who have unfounded allegations lodged against them being placed in the same category as a guy like Weinstein, who has a ton of evidence against him.

These third wave feminists want to act like no woman ever lies about being raped or abused by a man. That's that's just patently false. RE Kobe, look at all of the black athletes who've had women lie about them: Brian Banks, Marcus Dixon, Ezekiel Elliot, Praise Martin-Oguike etc. etc. etc.

This hashtag mcfeminism bullshit is out of control. They exposed some legitimately skeevy people at the beginning, but now it's just turned into an angry mob.
She's not an actress.

He got the kids in the prime of his career, fought her tooth and nail with the best lawyers to the point she had no money left to pay for her lawyers.

The son who recently 'wrote' the letter has been under his famous father's thumb for a decade - what do you expect him to say. He claims it 'never happened" but the kid was only 4 years old at the time. C'mon.

They both have had personal demons - he's no angel, so don't make him out to be one.
Her trying to dial 911 during a fight and him ripping the phone from her and hitting her with it is pretty damn plausible.

He's on his 5th wife. That's red flag territory right there.
FYI, they met at an AA meeting, she was 3 yrs sober, he newly sober. Again, he is no angel and has been on and off the wagon.

That broad had DNA from three different men in her panties when she showed up at the hospital and another man's semen besides Kobe's on her body when they took the rape kit.

She had sex with another dude after she was supposedly brutally raped and before she decided to go to the hospital.

I don't think that anybody had to force themselves on her.
This whole post is inaccurate.

She did not have 4 different men's DNA and semen.
She had one other, that Kobe did not have, indicating the possibility that she had sex after Kobe, however she denied it saying she put on an old pair of underwear in her distress.

Kobe had her anus blood on his shirt the next day which he wore, which he threw at the cop collecting it, who told him not to throw it at her.
Did you read his statements to the police on the encounter, as well as his public statement essentially acknowledging that the victim did not consent to him shoving his dick in her ass?

He never acknowledged that she didn't consent, that would be admitting that he raped her, and no lawyer on Earth would let their client release a statement like that. He maintains that the sex was consensual at the time (i.e. not rape) but he acknowledges that she might have had issues with the encounter after the fact, similar to the Aziz Ansari incident.

It reads:

"First, I want to apologize directly to the young woman involved in this incident. l want to apologize to her for my behavior that night and for the consequences she has suffered in the past year.

Although this year has been incredibly difficult for me personally, I can only imagine the pain she has had to endure. I also want to apologize to her parents and family members, and to my family and friends and supporters, and to the citizens of Eagle, Colorado.

I also want to make it clear that I do not question the motives of this young woman. No money has been paid to this woman. She has agreed that this statement will not be used against me in the civil case.

Although I truly believe this encounter between us was consensual, I recognize now that she did not and does not view this incident the same way I did. After months of reviewing discovery, listening to her attorney, and even her testimony in person, I now understand how she feels that she did not consent to this encounter.

I issue this statement today fully aware that while one part of this case ends today, another remains. I understand that the civil case against me will go forward. That part of this case will be decided by and between the parties directly involved in the incident and will no longer be a financial or emotional drain on the citizens of the state of Colorado."

Oh, ok I see what you're saying, but he is saying pretty much what I said, he believes it was consensual at the time and he understands that in hindsight she felt different about the encounter. He never admitted that he knew or thought it was non-consensual at the time. Which is what I thought you were alluding to.

Isn't your president on his 3rd wife? Why wasn't that a red flag?
Especially with all the weird creepy stuff he says about his kid

He never admitted that he knew or thought it was non-consensual at the time. Which is what I thought you were alluding to.
Yeah.

It's funny... when one thinks about what you're saying and when one goes back to that night and reads her statements of what happened, then his statements of what happened.. When he began to choke her and she said "no, stop", he told the cops that that kind of forceful sex act is what he had with a girl called Michelle on a regular basis.
So her "no" to him wasn't no in the 'real' sense in his mind.

When you couple it with that most women really don't say no to people like him, you can see that he had developed a grandiose sense of self, and that he got off on his power which he exuded emotionally and physically over her. I have no doubt that she resisted him shoving his dick in her ass... which he ignored...because her resistance got him off. But she wasn't Michelle.

Also, don't forget his story to the police was that he completely denied they even had sex - he claimed nothing happened and that he masturbated after she left.

It is things like that along with the fact she bragged at a party about having sex with him that people will themselves to overlook because of what they want to choose to believe about him. And it stems from the notion put out there that accused means guilty and if they want to BELIEVE you are guilty not even video evidence could get them to see that maybe they were wrong.

Nickelodeon has thrown Dan Schneider to the bushes:

And while there are no new allegations of misconduct connected with the severing of this deal, Deadline notes that Schneider has existed under a “cloud of suspicion” throughout much of his time at Nickelodeon, particularly over his relationships with his show’s younger stars. The series he created have gone on to launch the careers of actresses like Amanda Bynes, Miranda Cosgrove, Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande.

SMALLVILLE Alum Allison Mack Under Investigation For Reportedly Leading A Sinister Sounding Sex Cult

She played the infuriatingly annoying Chloe Sullivan in Smallville but Allison Mack has come under investigation today for reportedly being second in command of a sex cult specialising in abuse...

As you no doubt already know, Hollywood has been plagued by a series of sex scandals but did you ever imagine that Allison Mack would be among them? She played Clark Kent's closest friend Chloe Sullivan in Smallville and like Felicity Smoak in Arrow, she was a divisive character best known for dropping countless pop culture references and helping the Man of Steel ultimately become Superman.

It's been alleged that Mack is second in command of a secret sex cult which reportedly disguises itself as a self-help group called NXIVM. A former spokesman for them claims that Mack is in charge of a secret sorority which brands women and the Smallville actress (who was most recently seen in Lost in Oz) is said to preside over a group of female slaves forced to recruit others or face punishment.

Those include forcing women to go on starvation diets and routine beatings. Mail Online says that the group also specialises in blackmail, forcing its members to reveal compromising information which they then use against them if they attempt to speak out. It's basically like a pyramid scheme with Mack somewhere at the top and she's said to be the one who introduced the idea of corporal punishment.

It's obviously up to Mack what she does in her personal time but these are some pretty serious allegations of abuse and ones which will probably end her career for good given the current landscape.

EDIT:
Just saw a brotha on another forum post this (The same one who's always telling me about the Ian Somerhalder rumors):

I've known about this since 2006 but it was never clear. People first said it was some ponzi scheme for self help/self organizational programme that roped celebs in and then around 2009-2010 there was small stories bout the cult leader branding the female members and doing weird occult sex shyt

Glad Kristin Kreuk (The actress who played Lana on "Smallville") got out as soon as she found out what it was

The society in which we live doesn't care about the suffering or mutilation of black and brown bodies. That's why some asshole can go around delivering bombs and killing black folks but not be called a terrorist.

So your point is that since no Asian or Hispanic women have come out in large numbers that means this whole this is suspect? If this was some sort of conspiracy by the media to cherry pick individuals, then why pick the ones that would make white males look bad far more than anyone else? I don't know about you but I don't live in a world in which the media chooses to punish and humiliate and criminalize white men in such a public manner, unless perhaps they are politicians on the other side of the aisle. The media has done the exact opposite for white guys all this time and you think all of a sudden they felt the need to change that and this time work on stories that would purposely tarnish the image of white men in Hollywood in general? I don't but that at all

This whole pushback has been the result of two or three major stories that concentrated on a few creepy white guys who exploited their power. Those stories then led to dozens/hundreds of other women in the film/TV industry to come forward, on their own, with even more horrible accounts of shit they've gone through over time. Some men came forward to, like the guys who were being taken advantage of by Kevin Spacey. Like with all controversial subjects that eventually get exposed t the public, it only takes one breakthrough or one brave victim coming forward to lead to a wave of other victims speaking out. This happened with the exposure of the pedophilia of priests in a Boston parish; suddenly the floodgates burst and we were flooded with information about men all over the globe who went through the same trauma as boys. Were they lying too? Was the media just cherry-picking, perhaps not finding more men of color who were victims when they were young?

The media had nothing to do with most of these accusations and stories, those women came forward and reached out to the media to tell what had happened to them. I can quibble about how long it took them to work up the courage, but its probably not fair for me to judge. The point is they are opening up about it finally and that's a good thing. For years when I would go to some industry websites I would read comments from anonymous folks about certain high profile folks/celebs whom everyone knew were dirtbags. And now those high profile folks keep getting exposed on a regular basis after decades in which people in the industry allowed things to slide. That fat white dude from the old sitcom Head of the Class, Dan Schneider, has been rumored about being a pedo during the two decades of his being the driving force of programming at Nickelodeon. Just a couple of days ago the network finally cut ties with him and pretty much everyone who works on that network knows why. These are open secrets.

Why aren't there more Hispanic and Asian women being talked about? Perhaps because in terms of well-known celebs there aren't as many. Perhaps because white guys, like most men, tend to abuse their power over women who are for the most part of their race/community; keep it in-house so to speak. Perhaps many of the female assistants and other women who work behind the camera who have been abused are indeed non-white, and thus we never get to see their faces because the media prioritizes well-know celebrities or maybe those women don't even want to expose themselves to the public. Maybe the non-white women don't rush to the media to speak out about what's been happening to them. If that is the case it is not the media's fault. You have nothing to offer as proof that the media is cherry picking other than your own suspicions. That's fine if you have your doubts but just try not to pass them off as facts in the discussion, kinda like you did with your dubious remarks of Jewish men's preferences.

Now are there plenty of horror stories going on in the music scene? Probably so. And it doesn't have to be just hip-hop we can go back to the heydays of rock which of course would lead to more white women being the face of victimization. Again the initial breaking news stories were about film/TV industry so that's the industry which saw a surge of women speaking out to the press. The media admittedly is guilty of having a narrow focus once a major event breaks; it doesn't always widen its scope. But that's why it is important for women in the music industry or those who work in the sports entertainment industry to use this time to come out and give their account too. However regardless of whether they stay silent on this or even if they are somewhat ignored when they reach out to the media, does not change the facts on the ground about what has happened to the mostly white female victims of Hollywood. Let me also point out that in Hollywood the vast majority of men in power are white dudes. If more black men were in power I think plenty of them would abuse their position too or at least try. Of course it may be harder for them to get away with it because of the perception of black men being sexual deviants would probably lead to the public believing in a higher percentage the claims of alleged female victims. Nonetheless many would still try and get away with it (see: Bill Cosby).

You are correct that the media prioritizes white people over black and brown folk. This is nothing new. But that same media has proven it would jump at any chance to bring down a black male celeb quickly too if he was abusing black women or brown women. So the question is would the media ignore accusations by black and brown women about the misconduct of a white guy? I don't think so, not in this climate, especially if the women themselves are celebrities. Maybe they won't give it as big of a spotlight, but the media would still report it.

My thing is that I'm ignoring black women throwing shade at all that's going down. They seem to have this attitude that all women's movements are suspect if they aren't leading the charge and that any claims of female victimization isn't legit unless black women are at the forefront of such abuse. It doesn't support their narrative that they are the world's only victims or that black men are uniquely accountable for the world's depravity. They must make EVERYTHING about them. And here you are using their predictable pushback from them as some sort of rock to cling to in a fast-moving stream of sexual harassment charges. There's a black woman who worked for the Charlie Rose show who went public about being upset that she wasn't harassed like the white females who were victims of Rose's unwanted advances. This black lady argued that her prospects of moving up on the show had been limited because Rose essentially didn't find her attractive like he did the white women who worked under him. Is that some shit or what? She was claiming to be a victim because she herself wasn't victimized by Rose. If that doesn't scream "look at me!" then I don't know what does. Kinda reminds me of Tyra Banks taking the guy who ran the "Girls Run Wild" DVD series to task because he didn't use black girls. Just think about that. Banks wasn't infuriated that the dude exploited college girls to perform lewd and embarrassing acts on camera for his own profit, she was mad that black girls were exploited along with those white gals. Apparently many black women are more preoccupied with being seen as desirable than they are with being disgusted by the outrageous behaviors of white men. I recall how many black women on social media almost had a celebration when Lupita Nyong'o came out and claimed Harvey Weinstein had acted inappropriate around her. Finally a sista was being preyed upon too by that big, disgusting dude and certain black women took relief in that. Of course Nyong'o became the first or only celeb whose clams Weinstein publicly refuted. That was hilarious.
