Random Conversation 2.0

It was 111 here in Melbourne today...had to play netball in it. Surprised we weren't carted off in an ambulance.

It's now 1.30am and 96 degrees. I can't sleep

damn! that's bananas!!! I don't know how you survived either! Crazy... On your side of the world is a heat wave, our side is cold/mild.

Ouch! Its 36 degrees here in Denver ;)

It's so bananas. It's going to be like this all week. Our fire brigades are already flat out

what the hell was with the wind yesterday...it was like the wicked witch of the west got pissed that gwendolyn got a new pair of shoes prettier than hers

It's really windy here as well, but a scorch your face kind of wind. We are getting wind burn

I heard. My mum told me yesterday that it's 44C and going to be like that all week. She was handling it pretty well though, surprisingly.

My house has warmed up nicely now. It's actually cooler outside than in

There's a faint smell of smoke in the air this morning as well :(

Sounds ominous. Bush fires are rampant in that weather. :smt087

BTW, had no idea that 44 C translated to 111 F. I think I would have cautioned my mum more, that's dangerous levels. Our home is double brick, so I think it may be cooler in it than outside, which is why she didn't express much distress. Stay hydrated Tarshi, and keep an eye out for heatstroke signs with your babies and fur babies.

An old forum member. She's Australian, but lives in London

Ah...are you planning on bringing her back around? ;-)

Why do people like death metal so much, despite it being a genre lacking talent and full of angry morons with no talent? :smt012

I think it's probably good for pumping people up, like during lifting. I love listening to hip hop and punk for that same reason, but death metal is not my cup of tea.

Are you all hot and sweaty? ;-)

Careful, or I'll start inquiring about your body temperature... ;-)

Well, you know how it is at my age - hot...(does anyone have a fan?)...cool down....hot (ice cubes?!)...cool down....hot (dear God, will this stop any time soon?!) :p

Anyone feeling the need to start Random Conversation 3.0 soon? Since this one has over 1000 pages? Yes? No? …I'll let you decide. :p

Anyways, I was browsing on google images out of random, right, and I saw the coolest thing ever (in my opinion) :

I can actually see myself in that bedroom…All I need to do now to break the lottery tickets and win the jackpot! (LOL jk…but srsly tho. That's a really nice bedroom suite, IMO.)
