The chair force can't do that?

Depends on what new technology comes from it. Most tech is military driven. So, we might be able to explore the stars as we seem to only invest if it has military applications.

I would hand exploring the stars over to NASA, surveillance over to the chair force. It makes sense for the military to stick to military applications.

Still don't see a need for the space force.

My point is that a lot of revolutionary scientific findings have come from military driven projects in the past. They will keep cutting funding to NASA and the private sector will still have issues trying to figure it out. The people who want this are invested in companies with military contracts, so, it means that some of this may trickle down to NASA.

Technically there is also no need for a separate Airforce or the Marines Corp. Both branches were apart of the Army and Navy respectively.

True. It’s more of a specialized set of branches now.

I would leave it like it is for separation of powers. Dictators usually rise as strong military men. I don't see how the Army and Airforce depend on each other much. The Marines however depend on the Navy mostly for logistics and medical field specialists, but other things as well. They use some of the Navy realestate sometimes for things like schooling but they also protect it in return so they are more interrelated than the Army and Airforce, so I see your point there mostly, but I would keep them seperate. People buy into the different colors, so it works.

At my military school we had Marines in our Avionics classes but the Marines had different rules. If they failed they were allowed to repeat classes. If we failed we lost our job and had to pick something else. It made sense to me to allow them their own rules, because the Marines have their own specialty as a branch. Anyone willing to work under more harsh conditions in the field should be given multiple opportunities to pass the more advanced classes. Leave them under the Navy and everyday policies like that can easily go away.

That's why I don't watch anything on TV. No POTUS briefings, no cable news, no pundits. I get my news from Twitter of all places, and non-partisan Bloomberg. Just the summaries and articles.

A good percentage of people's frustration comes from actually watching these morons on TV

I woke up to a nice surprise this morning. My neighbor made his kids mow my yard since he was tired of them spending too much time inside on their phones while schools are closed. lol

this times 100. Anything worth being informed of finds me no problem I’d rather not live through the ups and downs of the gossip

Interesting. All I watch is the orange guy with the task force briefings and the idiot who runs our state. I may not like them, but at least I'm getting it straight from them and not some interpretation of it. My 13 year old watched one of the briefings for an assignment the other day and when the anchor summarized right after she said - that's NOT at all what he said! she was right and I said there you go. You just learned a LOT!

I get what you are saying. I just get even more frustrated when I read or hear what others are saying. I guess partly because my mind always goes to - NO WAY was that said! and of course it usually was, maybe even more bizarre.

One of my team members is in Southern California and several of the neighborhoods are getting robbed. People are getting desperate!
