Beyond irritated with this whole government shutdown. I get to drive all the way into work this morning, sitting in traffic for an hour +...only to turn right back around and leave a few hours later. Bills dont stop, taxes continue to increase, congress continues to bicker like little fucking kids while being paid to do nothing for the American people. This is some bullshyt.

 

Seven dollars??!! Since when does eHarmony only cost 7$??

 

the American people need to keep this fresh in their memory when it comes time to vote again...personally I think congress should forfeit their pay for every day the gov't is shut down

If only that were possible, but unfortunately most American's seem to suffer from Short -Term Memory Loss and will continue to elect whichever politician is affiliated with their party, regardless of their past record. :smt091

 

And lets be fair its not congress this time its solely 100% the fault of the Republicans. They carried out this obstructionist bs. It's Republican voters who have short memories and vote against their own interests in favor of party loyalty. It's time we are specific so that we can fix problems. Both sides are bought and paid for but only one seems to be douche bags and nothing for the American people at all. If someone could explain how this helps the American population I am all ears.

In the advent of my life, I sometimes ponder whether my life bears any significant meaning. Staring down the barrel of a gun, I ask whether the trigger can lead me to a happier tomorrow. There's no fear. No regret. Just a fleeting feeling of comfort, knowing that the bang echoed signals a finality...a resting place triggering a feeling I longed for: Happiness.

And yet, I am unable to do the unthinkable. I still remember the people around me and their jolly faces look on with confusion. Seeing a bloodied stain between my eyes would only bring sorrow to those around me. And furthermore, I always tell myself that I'm too stubborn to die. Death is just an easy way out in this experience we call life.

Perhaps my trials and tribulations may come to a close and in the end, despite the hell I've been through as of late, I need to remind myself that I have to believe in myself and walk towards a better tomorrow. So, I won't give up and let myself down...and let everyone else down either.

It's an unfortunate world we weave in our own merit. But, we live in hope.
