Ok, then I'm convinced that you are a 15 year old... that's around the age I remember people feeling the need to chronicle every penis that passes their lip.

    Smell my finger?

So which is it? Do you own a car or do you have a stalker? The parts in bold contradict each other.

Thankee. Where I go, grappling is always w/o gi. San Soo is before and everybody takes their gi's off.
This place is small so I think that is why they may do it like this. Biggest class I seen in San Soo is 8, even less for grappling and pankration.

They may just do it like this as its very small and the instructor have better overview of the people that take it.
New students almost exclusively come from the group that takes the boot camps and kettebell classes so they are already familiar faces to the instructors.
They have a few fighters that train here but they are usually there during the day.

Thank you Petty:) I have found a new-found appreciation for bruises.

i actually prefer smaller classes, because you get more attention from whomever is training you all (plus more room to roll without bumping into someone). I used to go at 12:30pm and at that time, most people were at work or school. Now that i'm on day shift, i'll be going at night. I'm going back to training tomorrow at another school, now that I have a solution for my toes (they allow wrestling shoes, but i'll probably just tape since I found a good 3M type that adheres pretty well) and will get to see just how many sweaty bodies they can fill there. Although to be quite honest, this place I switched over too was pretty busy even during their noon class.

Their stable of jiu-jitsu guys was pretty deep, with more blacks and browns than i've ever seen at the same time, in my original gym. What this means is that there's a lot of talent to draw from for lesser ranks. You don't have to worry about being instructed by a blue belt for example, while the head honcho trains his veterans.

only drawback is these guys train like they're still in brazil, so the only solution they have for hot weather is fans. from what i could gather, they're pretty rustic and don't have the same frills as where I initially trained. they also don't have any water coolers, fancy locker rooms or ample shower space.:smt017 probably just end up wiping down with anti-bacterial body wipes until I get home

Toes does take a beating. Taping sounds good.
We have 2 black belts, qute a few green belts, some that will get their brown very soon and a few yellow belts that will get their greens very soon. Only two withe belts - so its all good for me, especially since I am a noob:)

We have the same problem, several fans to keep it cool, but its like bikram yoga in there. Place is small so there are no showers at all. Good thing I live 10 min away. No water cooler? Thats a bit odd, no?

yeah after rolling hard for 5 minutes, most people would run to the fountain at my old place. if the coach was feeling real naughty, he wouldn't give us a water break and have us switch partner and roll again for another 5.

this other place...id end up taking a water bottle or something. they actually charge more than the original place, so you'd think they'd be a bit more refined:smt088

They do not contradict each other at all, Bookworm. I own a car and I have a stalker. As if the two should be mutually exclusive - that is a pretty ridiculous notion. If you had a little imagination, you could see how my car was waiting to be fixed at one dealership for one week, then all they did was find the right battery and install it. They would not mess with it anymore because they knew it would take me forever to pay for what else was wrong with it, and they were majorly behind on their other work, and anyway my mother's cousin's husband had a friend with a car shop out in Indiana, so I drove my car out there with its newly restored battery to have the other work done. It's been there since last Sunday, so that's at least two and a half weeks that I have been without a vehicle. Plenty of time to have had to learn how to ride the bus and developed a stalker as a result of having to walk places I would not normally walk to and on a regular schedule, whether I like it or not. Quit trying to pick holes in my story. It's real life - get over it.

Nyx, my neighbourhood is different. Just on my way home from work today, I had to go to the store and it was getting dark. A black man hollered at me from his SUV, did a U-turn, and asked me if I wanted a ride. I said, "No I DO NOT." Two old white men, drunken construction workers with a 12-pack of beer on their shoulders, commented on what a "beautiful girl" I was for no reason (which was kind of sweet I guess).
Coming back from the store it was full on dark and a little Hispanic man was about to cross the street saying "hey gurlll whatchooo doin" and I said "don't fucking cross the street, I'm walking alone!!" and he stepped back, thought better of it. This was all in the space of half an hour. I was only wearing a crew-neck black t-shirt and a floor-length black skirt, form-fitting but modest.
I am ALWAYS minding my own business.

Hope you feel better soon, by the way, Nyx. :smt056

Netflix and Hulu together, now you know you in trouble. Cable companies are off their damn rocker if they think I'm paying that much to watch a couple shows Hulu has. G4TV sucks ass now, so I don't need cable at all.
