Well kids that time has come. While I have enjoyed being a member of this board for a number of years it is time to say farewell. All of the back and forth negativity is too much for me. Being called a "Pig" by FH was the final straw for me as well as the current gif posted that shows a "man" slapping a woman across the face makes me recognize that this is a place where there is not much respect for women. I am well aware that many of the posters here are wonderful, funny, bright lovely people and I have enjoyed my interactions with you all. However, I want to live my live in a positve way and there is just too much negativity here. I know this post will be mocked by some as being overly emotional and that is fine. It's beyond me why people would take time out of their busy lives (I'm playing hooky from clients and school posting here) to engage in cyber-insults. Sucks to see someone being harangued off of the forum.
Vanilla you were one of the posters I've loved to read what they have to say , but I can understand you totally. This morning it shocked me, too, when I've seen the pic. Take care of yourself,my dear and I hope we will hear us sometimes again, but to be honest I doubt it.
I understand why you're leaving Vanilla, Flaming is a horrible man. I really can't believe he said that (oh wait it's Flaming, why am I shocked?!). That was a really awful thing to say after what you shared. I have so much respect for you! I really wish he would be banned so we don't lose valued members. Oh and thanks for the recommendation, I've decided to go to the Maldives instead as it's a little less pricey and less flight time. I cannot wait to go diving to see all the fish! Super excited. it's going to be a year after the verdict of my attacker in May when I'm going so I'm glad I'm going somewhere beautiful to take my mind off of it. I'll be in the Indian Ocean whilst he's rotting in some sex offenders prison with others just like him!

This really saddens me. Chai, you will be missed. I'm deeply sorry that you were chased off the board, and by an individual who complains of persecution. How ironic. I pray for God's best for you, Chai.
Thoughts on Google+ I've signed up for Google+ a few weeks back and so far, I don't see what's the big deal about it altogether. Maybe I'm not fully aware of the functions, but it's nothing too special. I guess the only redeeming and unique factor that G+ actually have that's well worth it would be the Circle of Friends. Where you can literally create your own group and add your select number of friends there. It's pretty convenient, especially when sending emails to those who play online games with you. It's a good substitute for Facebook nevertheless. But if you already have Facebook, perhaps the only other reason to consider G+ would be due to the controversial lack of privacy for the user.
I hate to hear that you're leaving VC, but I do understand. The lack of respect for women & in general from some people and the negativity definitely takes away from something that should be a positive & beautiful thing for everyone here. Lack of respect for women or people in general? Those that get the women bashing label seem to not get along with anyone not just the women.

Ive had it for just over two months and had over 50,000 hits fight negativity with positivity thank you!
