He [Team USA] suffered an injury during that race which caused him to lose his speed and eventually lose the lead. Otherwise, Bahama would be looking at Silver for that race. They got the benefit of the unfortunate for team USA.
I hate to see injury or falls destroy someones chances. This was hard to watch last night Morgan Uceny US. In worlds 2011 she fell on her own in the same event and this time her foot was clipped by someone and out.
The former, she is 5'9" - 293 lbs She did 321 lbs on the snatch, 412 lbs on the clean and jerk. Combined total of 733 lbs between the two lifts.
And win they did, Jamaica just took the Gold in the 4x100m in a World Record time anchored by Blake and Bolt on the final 2 relay handoffs.
Bolt-straight 3-for-3 in two Olympics Damn, dem Jamaicans ain't playin', striaght up, mofukkas just cleaned up 4 X 100 gold.
Give us a break we only got cable abd indoor plumbing a decade ago lol. Real talk though Jamaicans have the second amount of gold medalist per capita. Not bad for an island with the population of Queens lol
I swear these Jamaicans will make some Americans burst a valve. The sprints use to be the preserve of Americans with all the showboating especially by Maurice which annoyed the hell out of others. Now its Usain Bolt's Jamaican showboating which overshadowing everybody else pissing off some people. Never thought i will see the day when Americans will be happily celebrating a silver medal in the sprint relay.
Personally I wished he had gone hard in both the 100m and 200m, he would have improved upon his World Record in both already. He went all out in the 4x100m and a new World Record was set. As for haters, meh. They know nothing of Bolt outside of the television screen. He is at the top of his profession and enjoying life. Dude is a national hero. The floodgates are opened now, expect to see Jamaica doing this for generations to come. Even if Bolt hadn't won, the guy in second Blake would have, also from JA.
Not really, the US women already improved upon their last showing in Beijing by smoking the Jamaican women in every track event outside of the 100m. Usain Bolt is a once in a generation talent, but like any other record his will be broken one day and when it happens it'll be by an American.
Really? And did you think the last record would be broken by a Jamaican? There's no way to tell these things. The next guy could be from France or even Kenya. Bolt came from a third world country with no where near the resources of the US and made the rest of them dudes look like they were on a jv track team.
That's the beauty of running. A "third world" runner is equal to someone from anywhere else. You just need running shoes, dedication to train and your God given talent. The stuff that God gives you is more important than the shoes or some expensive track.
Dude i hope you know black folk in America will be hating as well, probably hating even more than non-black people.
