Do you have anger towards him and if you do is it the same kind of anger when robert blake enter your mind.

That is what is making alot of those newscasters sound racist, there comparance in anger with O.J. & Robert Blake. They seem more angry at O.J. and less angry at robert blake.

LCris I sincerely agree with you. The crime is just too messy for a former football player to do plus he would had gotten more marks on his body. Retardo and his friends in the media think he is some super brother like in the Hertz commercials who can get out of those clothes, wash up and go to that taxi. They are still revising making him more super. In the media there is a big disconnect whenever the description of Black crimminals and White ones. On baseball they put Barry Bonds but not Roger Clemmons on the performance enhancing drugs. And a double standard of what Kenny said on what is reported all of that passionate rage on a brother but not a white male. Oh yes another thing there was no passionate outrage towards Woody Allen whom he had sex and married a daughter adopted by his former girlfriend Mia Farrow. Roman Polanski raped a 13 year old girl and no outrage wheras Micheal Jackson get all the heat. Racism still rules America and I will not hold my breath for its ending.

Personnaly, I have no "anger" about these two murders.
I think these situations are tremedously sad, but I have no personal "anger" about it.

I really do think that one has to look at the popularity of a star in order to fully appreciate how the public view them. I do not think that Robert Blake had the same "position" in society in terms of being a beloved super-star the way OJ did. I don't think that Robert Blake was an icon and someone that little kids looked up to and I don't think that he made people feel all warm and fuzzy the way OJ did in his heyday.

I think that definitely plays a role in how ppl react when that beloved star falls from grace!

Hear me out... I'm not saying that racism doesn't exist... BUT one would have to admit that Roman Polanski does not hold the same place in the hearts of the American (worldwide) public as Michael Jackson does!! To me, that's like comparing apples and oranges. I think that in order to get an accurate comparison, one would have to look at someone of equal caliber - someone that the American public adores just as much.

I think that if Brad Pitt was accused of molesting young boys, just like Michael Jackson was, then the public would react the same way!

That's how I see it things....But I might be wrong... I'm just a white woman. What the hell do I know about anything?

That's it right there. This is what I was getting at before, and whether or not he actually did it doesn't even matter considering this analysis here.

No thats not true. Mel Gibson is beloved and he is not getting nearly as much hate as O.J. is getting. And is getting forgived real fast.

Halle Berry is being forgived real fast as well for when she had that hit and run back in 2000.

Trent Lott has been elected to office somewhere. (forget where.)

Somebody actually wants to marry Scott Peterson.

Tracey Gold is being forgived by the public for her drunk driving incident with her children in the car including by Oprah.

Russel Crowe is forgiven for throwing a big ass phone at someone.

I think tim allen was accused of murder years ago.

The list goes on. I know some of them aint been accused of murder but
they still did things that are disgustingly bad and got forgiven.

Very rarely does a Black person is forgiven for a crime and you can count with your fingers like Hale Berry,Don King, and others.

Ok, I hear what you're saying... but come on! Those are apples and oranges, man!

Mel Gibson SAID some hateful things!
    Tracy Gold DROVE drunk!!
    Russel Crowe THREW a phone!!
None of these people were accused of MURDERING their wife!!!!

As for Scott Peterson... He was NEVER famous before he killed his wife, so the public cannot feel "betrayed" for loving and trusting him before he commited the crimes!

Like I said... I agree that racism may be playing a role in the way OJ is treated in the media and in ppl's perception of him, but my god, if you're going to compare, use a SIMILAR case!! You can't compare being accused of a gruesome murder to drunk driving or throwing a phone!! Come on!

Phil Spector pullef a gun on a lot of people and he is famous of the Beatles' last album and made many hits. Pearl, I doubt he would have the same rough treatment like OJ Simpson.

Correction,he pulled a gun on many women and famous artists. The former led to the death of a former actress.

This thread just confirms our suspicious even further. All kinds of white celebs are beloved, but when they do something wrong in the public eye, the most they get is some sort of shock reaction, wherein the black celebs get ran all over for the same misdeeds, and we hear about it again and again, especially if they are men.

Indeed, SardonicGenie. But unfortunately, there's nothing one can do about it. That's why, if i were Lebron James, i'd do my best to keep that squeaky clean image going. Since he broke out in 2003, everyone has loved him but that "love" would vanish if he were to be accused of rape, especially if it were a white girl. He better be very careful.

A friend of mine often says this; "The best way to remain a well respected black athelete is to stay away from white women altogether". Now i am not going to offer my views on that but anyone is free to comment on that.

My view on that is staying away from white women won't help. Staying away from gold-diggers and fame seeking whores will help. They come in all races.

Unfortunatly, you don't see photos of the Black groupies at sports events and the scandal that comes with it. If a Black Athelete wants to stay clean he shoud just stay away from them.

Owner Boots O.J. Simpson From Restaurant
    By BETH CAMPBELL
    AP
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 9) - The owner of an upscale steakhouse in Louisville said he asked O.J. Simpson to leave his restaurant the night before the Kentucky Derby because he is sickened by the attention Simpson still attracts.

Owner Jeff Ruby said O.J. Simpson quietly left his restaurant after Ruby refused to serve him. Simpson's attorney said the incident was racial and raised the possibility of going after the business' liquor license.

"I didn't want to serve him because of my convictions of what he's done to those families," Jeff Ruby said in a telephone interview Tuesday. "The way he continues to torture the lives of those families ... with his behavior, attitude and conduct."

Simpson, an NFL Hall of Famer and Heisman Trophy winner, was found innocent in 1995 of killing his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ron Goldman but was found liable in a civil trial that followed.

Ruby - who owns restaurants in Cincinnati, Louisville and Belterra, Ind. - said Simpson, who was in town for the Derby on Saturday, came in with a group of about 12 Friday night and was seated at a table in the back. A customer came up to Ruby and was "giddy" about seeing Simpson, Ruby said.

"I didn't want that experience in my restaurant," Ruby said, later adding that seeing Simpson get so much attention "makes me sick to my stomach."

He said he went to Simpson's table and said, "I'm not serving you." Ruby said when Simpson didn't respond, he repeated himself and left the room.

Simpson's attorney, Yale Galanter, said the incident was about race, and he intended to pursue the matter and possibly go after the restaurant's liquor license.

"He screwed with the wrong guy, he really did," Galanter said by telephone Tuesday night.

Ruby said the incident had to do with Simpson's past.

"It was the first time since 1994 he has ever shown any class," Ruby said. "He showed it that night in the restaurant" by leaving quietly.

Ruby said after Simpson left, people in the restaurant started applauding him. He said he has received about 100 positive e-mails since the incident.

The walls of Ruby's restaurants are decorated with celebrity photos. A photo of Simpson and Ruby used to be on display, but Ruby said he took it down after the killings.

 Got this from another site:

I am not going to get into the case, I don't know if he did it or if he had someone do it for him or whatever, but I have to rant for a minute about something I just saw on FOX 19 News in Cincinnati.

Bigot restaurant owner Jeff Ruby refused to serve Simpson at the Kentucky Derby this weekend and said on television that he was expecting a confrontation but was surprised that Simpson didn't start anything. Then he proceeds to talk about how he ruined lives and other crap.

Then, the anchor, Jack "Hairplug" Atherton says, "That Jeff Ruby has a lot of integrity" What!!!???

First off, reporters are supposed to report, not state personal opinions. Secondly, every year the Jazz Festival has come to Cincinnati, all of Jeff Ruby's restaurants close down because he won't serve any of the Black people who come here for the concert. Third and lastly, he like subservient Blacks or Blacks with money, because they are the acceptable Blacks.

I want to smack this man in the face. He assumed because Simpson was Black that he would initiate a confrontation, now this idiot is going to try to use this to promote himself.

    I am just pissed off.

OJ should sue since he did not cause trouble and the owner should pay. I remember a year or two after his aquittal that some resterant owner kicked him out in LA and the owner settled out of court.

I wouldn't serve OJ anything either. The restaurant owner may be racist, but if i was the owner of that restaurant, i would tell him to get out just the same. OJ had the same guilt written all over his face that Scott Peterson had.
