ah lol. You swear it was borderline torture...then you get older, and in some instance will try just about anything to get relief.
I have family that still unplugs the tv/phone and puts covers over all the mirror during thunderstorms, lol
Yessss.:smt081 People I know that do stuff like that drive me crazy cause I'm such a logical person. If it doesn't fit in with logic, the system, science, math, commonly accepted beliefs or facts, it's a no no lol
If this isn't a viable threat, why do we use surge protectors? We had lightening damage to a computer at a restaurant I used to work for.
What the What?! You need make a thread about this lol (I couldn't find one, but I didn't check that deep).
People have been electrocuted through phones, this is why they say don't use the phone during a thunderstorm. I often disconnect my comp if it's not on a power-surge protector. And if you doubt....Even Snopes says it's true. http://www.snopes.com/horrors/techno/phone.asp Old Scool knows best...8)
But they cite actual death cases.....and explain the science behind it. You said you love logic and science...well read and see. Poor victims are found with the receivers still in their hands..
I'm not denying the validity, it's just funny that snopes was the notary on this...I always told my lil sister that talking on the phone to much could kill you lol
I've known it since a little girl in Australia (think; if it reached those shores it's gotta be true, right?? ) I only used Snopes because I've seen so many run to it to discount a 'fact' or not, like it's a bible, lol. But in this case they did have actual names and cases of the deceased. Haha wait - you told your sister what now??!! :smt036
That is serious. You never know how your body is when you get older. Professional wrestlers do put their bodies and lives on the line to make a good show.
