I wonder if they will have a love scene? No it's not wishful thinking, but from the photos it looks awfully close. http://www.les-films.fr/John-Hancock-Avec-Will-Smith,2106.html
Lets not get ahead of ourselves here. First of all its a comedy as well as an adventure flick and most of those don't have love scenes. Second its probably a PG or a PG13 flick too. That lessens the chance of love scenes. Next has Will Smith EVER had a love scene on screen (maybe he did in "Ali")? Do you think Hollywood is about to give him one now (his first)with Charlize? Her character is married. In feel-good mainstream movies Hollywood never has the leading lady cheat on her husband unless the husband is presented to be worse than a Nazi because they don't want the audience to lose all sympathy towards the wife and the male lead character she's having a sexual affair with. Now consider how it would be even more controversial considering the races of the two participants in this film. Last of all...one must crawl before one can walk. After decades of not really having black men and white women involved with each other in sex scenes, I highly doubt that this film is going go "all the way" to home in one jump. Progress must be taken at a slower pace. Its a big enough step if the two characters are openly attracted t each other and play on those feelings. If this leads to intimacy such as kissing and holding hands (but the wife eventually going back to the husband if that's how the origina script intended) then that's fine. Maybe it will make the next such bm/ww pairing a little bit more acceptable to the next Hollywood studio that has the right script. And perhaps that pairing will take the intimacy a step further. Its all about baby steps.
Amen, Jamal. Honestly, i feel some people are really waiting for a really R rated Hollywood movie where the black man is this hypersexual, hung-as-a-horse dude who fucks some Nordic looking white women for their hopes of an interracial pairing on screen to be satisfied. Why they're dying for one remains a mystery to me.
To be honest, I could care less about Hollywood showing an interracial love scene in a movie. After 40 years of teasing only "100 Rifles" had come close with a black man/white woman and do you want to see "Monster's Ball" white man/black woman? If I want to really see REAL interracial lovemaking I would rent interracial porn at least it's popular and shows everything.
Co-sign. Porn peeps ain't bullshittin' on the grill when it comes to BM/WW fuckin'! The best IR porn is off the Net -- that shit is off da hizzy! Hollywood could never even come close to porn IR -- no matter how hard they tried. The Kid Rasta 8)
HowieD what about One Night Stand starring Wesley Snipes? To date no IR movie has ever came close like that one. As for Monster's Ball I wished that scene was reversed-White male characters are killed off leaving the brother to take care of the WW.
True LCris. If I was livin large I would make a hot IR movie and I don't care if the critics and others make it a B or C flick.
Tonight on HBO a movie premieres called As You Like IT it stars Bryce Dallas Howard and David Yelowo as star crossed lovers, here is the link for the movie http://www.hbo.com/films/asyoulikeit/synopsis/
Hey thanks for the info as I heard about this flick on another site but didn't have any idea she would be involved with the brotha :!: Bryce is married to a white dude in real life but she ain't shame to do IR onscreen. Check her out in Manderlay too! :smt045
Hey somebody have to do it  It is only a matter of time before one of these IR flicks (hopefully this one.) get mad award nominations, publicity, viewership and hailed by alot of critics. It's past due don't ya think.
Mine are: 1) Redemption (2003) -This starred Brian J. White and he plays a struggling LA actor who gets involved with drugs and this poetry loving white girl then he starts to think she is cheating on him with another brotha. his best friend is the funniest cat in the movie and he also is a black guy dating the WHITEST white girl you can think of and he is mad ghetto and their arguments are hilarious. the film is about the life story of the director himself. Brian J. White used to be a runningback for Patriots and has acted in The Family Stone as a gay guy and some other films. Here's his IMDB page: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0924552/ 2) O (2001) -A modern day MTV hip hop remake of Othello. Mehki Phifer plays a star high school basketball player at an ALL WHITE prep school and josh hartnett is his best friend and teammate. martin sheen is hartnetts dad and the head coach of the team. hartnett is jealous that phifer gets all the attention and his fathers love since he is the top player and all the college and pro scouts love him. Julia Stiles is Desi, Mekhi's girlfriend. Hartnett sets up a scheme to make Phifer think she is cheating on him which leads Mekhi do so some crazy sh*t. Its not a shocking ending if you read the original Shakerspeare Othello play but they add a nice twist to it and the film really stays with you. The sex/rape scene with Stiles and phifer is very controversial and intense to watch, my only warning. IMDB page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0184791/ 3) The Price of Kissing (1997) -Small little indie film I saw with actor Leon, some white girl named pauley perette. its about 4 people, 2 white girls. a black guy, and spanish guy and their love situation. IMDb page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119941/ 4) Pieces of April (2003) -one of my favorite films of all time. Katie Holmes is this emo-looking grungy rocker girl who lives in a small run down NYC apartment with her boyfriend (derek luke). they're opening scene is an awesome love scene lol. she is the outcast of her well-to-do family. she invites them to her place for thanksgiving. she cannot really cook but is going out of her way to finally reach out to them since it may be her moms last turkey day (she is dying of cancer or something). it all takes place in one day and we follow katie as she tries to cook a turkey (her oven breaks and she spends much of the film trying to get various people in her building to allow her to use their stove), and we also follow her family's car ride there as they get lost and argue about stuff and we follow derek luke and his friend (played by Sisqo of Dru Hill) as derek tries to get a nice suit to wear for the dinner (they break into a mens clothing store or something i think). then derek luke gets beat up by katies ex-boyfriend (hes white) and his white friends. her family see derek luke all bloody and he says hes her boyfriend and they drive off and leave her all alone and she must get them back. very touching ending, i wont ruin it. one of the best, if not THE BEST, thanksgiving movie you will ever see. great story and acting all around. very short and fast moving film as well. IMDb page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0311648/ 5) Jungle Fever (1991) -everyone pretty much knows what this film was about. snipes cheats on his black wife with an italian co-worker, sam L jackson is his crack head brother. the italian girl is estranged from her family. we see how they work it out...great movie! 6) Thirteen (2003) -a 13 year old blonde white girl (amazing actress evan rachel wood) rebels from her mom and befriends this wild classmate of hers (a white/hispanic girl) who influences this once straight A student to do drugs, party, sneak out, curse at her mother, have sex with black guys, cut herself, steal, lie, sniff spray cans, and tons of other crazy stuff. Its not really ABOUT IR, its more about a dysfunctional family and a sweet girls descent into bad a$$ sluttiness but the IR is pretty steamy. I liked it... IMDb page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0328538/ ...i also could mention a few Wesley Snipes films such as One Night Stand, The Detonator, 7 Seconds, and also a very intense film called Havoc with Anne Hathaway which has her getting involved with latino gang bangers in East LA.
Mr. and Mrs. Loving, the movie I mentioned in another thread. This is made by the Showtime network several years ago. Basically it is a true story about the Lovings and what they went through. The Affair. Another TV movie made by HBO. This was set during WWII in England. An African-American soldier was stationed there and met a married English woman with child whose husband is away fighting the war. Later the soldier and woman fall in love with each other. Courtney B. Vance plays the soldier and Kerry Fox plays the woman who falls for him. Terrific movie. Jungle Fever, for obvious reasons.
Here are a some of my favorite IR flicks or should I say flicks with MY KIND OF IR IN THEM :!:  HEADING SOUTH: http://www.whitewomenblackmen.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4771 BLACK SNAKE MOAN: http://www.whitewomenblackmen.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4389 WONDROUS OBLIVION: http://www.whitewomenblackmen.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4267 SHADOWBOXER: http://www.whitewomenblackmen.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4190 MANDERLAY: http://www.whitewomenblackmen.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=53248&highlig
