There is certainly NO SHORTAGE of media outlets that will (and in fact love to) report negative news stories regarding BP. Why do you feel the need to bring such negativity to one of the very few outlets that celebrate and embrace BM?

 

My question was, given that there are already plenty of news outlets reporting negative stories about BP, why do you feel the need to bring such negativity here, one of the few outlets where BM are celebrated and embraced? Are you seeking to have discussions regarding solutions to such negative stories? Do you offer positive suggestions, ideas and encouragement to the members here as to how to fix the problems in the negative news you post? Or do you just enjoy spreading negativity in one of the few places BM can come on the web to feel accepted, uplifted, complimented and appreciated?

Repeatedly you have posted negative stories regarding BP, this is why you are receiving a backlash, if your intent is to foster a debate on these topics, then IMO that goal is not coming through very clear, instead your posts smack of contrarian and obstinate negativity toward BM especially.

Lastly I said in my earlier post, I do not agree with or participate in BW bashing.

 

This site is called WWBM, so the issues that impact those two groups are the focus of this forum. Again, if your intent in posting such negative stories is to foster intelligent and solutions oriented debate, fantastic. But it certainly seems your intent is just to shine a light on negative behavior done by BP, why do you feel the need to "not dodge" such news stories?

 

Again, what is your purpose in bringing negative stories to this board? You say that you are not interested in delving deep into reasons, solutions, ect., so what is your intent?

Not sure I would describe that as negative, it led to an interesting, if brief, discussion of sexual preferences, costs of higher education, the differences in genders and their views on sex and $, ect. It was not just, oh look a White guy behaving badly.

 

There was no backlash because obviously you didn't post it & focus on race as you do with black offenders. Had you title the thread : White Jet Fans Buffooney, you know you would have caught backlash, especially from female members here. They are quick to jump on any white females who come here & come across as bashing white people in any manner.

 

Son. The reason that you catch backlash is because of what you're doing in the two above posts. Willfully pretending to be ignorant. You're not ignorant & neither are the majority of other men & women here, so stop acting as if you are & stop treating everyone as if they are.

 

Classic post! They fetishize white men not only because of their whiteness, but because their cultures and families place a premium on education and economic success and they often (wrongly) equate whiteness with these things.

I also would have labeled it Black Bike week just as the News article headline did, and as EVENT PLANNERS do, and biker affectionados do, because that's is exactly what it is.

As a seven year attendee of "Bike week" in Wildwood, NJ I know about Black Bike week well. While many Black biker clubs also celebrate 'Bikers Week' in NJ, 'Black Bikers Week' in Myrtle Beach is its own entity, being the largest event organized in the US where Black bikers and party people flock to enjoy it.

Simultaneously, 'Harley Bikers Week' runs in a different part of the area, so the distinction must be made when reporting on a triple murder and multiple shootings - especially ON THE FIRST DAY of the event.

What happened at the event -the 3 murders and 10 people shot - was huge, because this has never happened at it before, and there has always been controversy of alleged racism of more police presence than at the "Harley" Event, as well as many locals trying to have the event banned or moved. This tragedy has also now impacted Myrtle Beach's summer tourism, with people canceling their vacations.

Again, these slaughters in cold blood of innocent partiers is horrific and TRAGIC, and it is indeed news, but I never saw the media give the fathers of the victims the podium to call on the President, nor amass a rally of 20,000 to memorialize the victims and chant "NOT ONE MORE"... like the victims in CA received. Maybe if the media gave the VICTIMS and their families the attention like Trayvon's and the Santa Barbara victims, national discussions for solutions and change could be held like they are doing for Elliot Scumbag.

It makes me ill to see the bickering in the threads relating to this topic that you have been harangued about - how from the jump you were made the story, and not the victims.

I'd like to offer my condolences to the innocent victims (and their families) who went to enjoy the festivities (and died over one madman losing his cool in an argument who chased them down in cold-blood).

This...there is very little interest in accolades of black men...if it isn't a disagreement the story is not worthy...everyone has their own opinion of what is news worthy

The blame falls on the women who are in a tough financial situation with children that they can't afford yet make the conscious decision to keep having unprotected sex with losers and lowlives.
