    That's changing.

    The nice thing about the way X is built is even should you get a virus the OS is designed to make it easy to locate and get rid of.

    Not to mention you don't need 3rd party av that does jack shit to begin with. And even should you need to reinstall the OS..it's much easier with a Mac than any windows based anything.

    You call it dumbing down..those in the know call simple user interface.

    And the monopoly is what has kept them staying virus free for so long unlike Microsoft that let's any Tom dick and Harry in.

    Well of course any PC that's running a non windows OS will be more stable than one that does.
    But you said PC. The automatic assumption is Microsoft windows.
