Lauren Holiday might have found sporting success as a midfielder for Team US but she isn't the only member of the family to forge a career in sport - as Jrue, her husband of two years, will attest.


US footballer Lauren Holiday married basketball player Jrue Holiday two years ago

The pair met after Jrue was mistaken for another basketball player and Lauren told him he was much cuter
Jrue Holiday is a professional basketball player for the New Orleans Pelicans, having played for his college team for just one season before being asked to turn professional.

However, his college career did have one benefit: It was during his spell at UCLA (University of California) that the 24-year-old met his 27-year-old wife.

According to reports, the pair met when a fan confused Jrue with fellow basketball player Darren Collison during a match.*

In an attempt to spare his blushes, Lauren jumped in and told him he was much 'cuter' than Collison and the rest is history, with the couple tying the knot two years ago in Malibu,
