This photo was taken shortly after the Nagasaki bombing. The baby on his big brother’s back is dead. The big brother walked barefoot to a crematory and watched his brother burn, but refused to cry. He bit his lip so hard that it bled.
This is one of the most haunting photos I have ever seen. It is hundreds of wedding rings that were removed from those in Concentration Camps.
