So the last 4 episodes are basically movies. I wonder why they didn't just re-edit them to make more episodes.

He had his mother's wealth and her crown because he did NOT live with Dany to get robbed like she did. He also never once spoke High Valyrian in "A Game of Thrones" which is another point of interest I recognized . . . who in the world ever would have taught young Dany her mother tongue?? Even in HBO's version it goes unanswered right??? I assumed it would have had to be her brother Prince Viserys but he communicates with her in the common tongue of Westeros when he wants to be confidential NOT High Valyrian as they travel with the horse lords of the Dorthraki Sea. I'm of the belief that everything that has been presented about Danerys Stormborn is not to be accepted as Bible. Too much of what she remembers about her childhood does NOT add up.

I believe that the true Princess Daenerys died soon after childbirth like so many of her preceding siblings born or stillborn to Queen Rhaella Targaryen (8 of them didn't make it). The way Prince Rhaegar is always mentioned in regards to Dany rather than King Aerys makes me suspect that he fathered her with Lyanna because as a general rule . . . daughters take after their dads. Ned took one look at his niece Visenya Targaryen with her platinum hair and violet eyes and knew he couldn't take her to Winter fell and she looked too Valyrian to pass off as a Crannogman so he couldn't have Howland Reed adopt her either . . . he hid her in plain sight!!

It is CURIOUS that Dragonstone and Starfall are reachable by sea and it is established that magic can facilitate sailing via wind magic ala Euron Greyjoy so it is plausible that Howland used his abilities to quickly get them from Starfall to Dragonstone via wind magic or vice versa!

This woman is not who she has been told she is . . . too many glaring discrepancies about her background and childhood right guys & girls??

Now if going back to your theory of of daughters taking after their fathers that is not really all that true, Rhaegar did have a daughter with his wife Elia who was dornish and their daughter favored the dornish look more so than the targaryen look, dark hair and brownish skin. The R+L = J is is so simple and such a popular theory people think nah it cant be that easy given all the twist and turns in the story. I had a theory I floated back awhile on the ice and fire forums that two kids were born in the tower of joy that day a boy and a girl, Ned took the boy as he had Stark features and could easily be passed off as a Stark and the girl who had the signature violet eyes of a Targaryen was secretly sent to Dragonstone to live with her family there. I always suspected that the reason that Ned was so adamant about not killing Danaerys was that she was not Aerys daughter but Lyanna's.

As for the whole it was all a dream, I dont think GRRM is that crazy unless he has already written the last books and left instruction for them not to be released
until he dies because if after all this time and investment in the stories and everything else for to all have been a dream somebody would probably kill him.

I like the way you analyzed and comprehend the books . . . I'm in complete agreement that Daenerys Targaryen is Eddard Stark's niece and NOT who she has been raised to believe she is . . . anymore than Eddard Stark's nephew is who he has been raised to believe he is. Eddard Stark took the secret of BOTH babyswaps which he facilitated to the grave!!!
 
I think it's a bit much for them to be twins separated at birth. So I guess the Cersei Jamie story comes full circle embodied by another couple?

I feel just the opposite actually. The minimalist nature of this trailer makes me think there are a lot of "Oh my god!" moments ahead of us, plus when you consider that this season is for all the marbles, I've never been more anxious for a final season of a TV series in my life.

This twin theory doesn't work for me either . . . George Martin isnt George Lucas.

What do you make of my theory that B+A = J makes Jon Ned's nephew via his bold, big brother Brandon Stark while Dani is actually his sister's daughter ~ Visenya?

The House of the Undying chapters and the one immediately subsequent to it from Daenerys served to fuel my view

What will everyone be having tonight as they enjoy the S8 premiere?

I'm having Baby back ribs and Jumbo wings! The wings I ordered & got yesterday before they could sell out from the Golden Nugget bar in Camden County, NJ ~ 20 Jumbo Honey Spiced Jerked wings Extra Wet with celery & Bleu Cheese on the side. I'm grilling these Smithfield Extra Meaty BB ribs tonight at 7 as I cleaned the grill yesterday and prepared the ribs Thursday night with McCormick's Sriracha Black Pepper & McCormick's Brazilian Steakhouse seasonings just purchased & opened. I'm using "We're Talkin' Serious" Hot Bone Suckin' Sauce from Whole Foods to finish bar-b-quing them!

After I rinsed the ribs off and blessed the pork with Crisco Canola oil they were good to go and ready to be seasoned and stored in Tupperware for the weekend refrigerator ;)


I'm gonna do them low & slow so maybe I will start at 6

I'm going to my brother's place for a viewing party, and I'm told there is going to be pizza and wings, I'm bringing whatever bulk desert (probably cookies) I can find at Costco.
 
Sounds like a good time Thump. I'm doing a bing re-watch now as I'm on S3, E4 "And now his watch has ended". I'm just going to enjoy S3 and take it slow . . . I was going to skip around until I got to late S7 but I ultimately decided that S1-S4 are just too damn PHAT to scan thru lol. After S5, E2 "The House of Black & White" the quality of Dan & Dave really goes to shit overall (sans "Hardhome")

Damn HBO and what a travesty they made of this glorious literary masterpiece lol ;)
